A***** A***** 510 Report post Posted August 25, 2009 yay, got two movies I discovered that windows media player will do sound only, no pic and quick time shows it playing but nothing at all. Help, I am not using the corrct program I know.
ford1976 1074 Report post Posted August 25, 2009 Since the pic is not showing up, it means that you are missing a codec to convert the video. I suggest the k-lite basic codec pack. It should have what you are missing. http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_lite_codec_pack.htm You then should be able to use windows media player .... or the included media player classic (I prefer the smaller windows media player classic uses less resources) I hope this helps. yay, got two movies I discovered that windows media player will do sound only, no pic and quick time shows it playing but nothing at all. buggernot 588 Report post Posted August 25, 2009 Best bet is to use VLC Media Player. Plays pretty much everything and you don't have to worry about installing codec packages. Just Google VLC and go from there ;) Posted via Mobile Device
rounder 100 Report post Posted August 25, 2009 You can use a tool called GSPOT (ironically enough) and find out exactly which codec you require. IT can be downloaded here http://www.headbands.com/gspot/

Guest v******n Report post Posted August 25, 2009 Both Roxio and Nero do a good conversion to DVD. Custom disk via TMPGEnc
Suzirider 737 Report post Posted August 25, 2009 Check out GOM Player. Free, and codecs galore. Only fault found sofar is crashing if you push it, meaning, jump from one vid to another too soon.
