sysiphus 100 Report post Posted September 18, 2009 I agree with Alexa. I use those sites for personal travel and they work. Please note all prices are in US$ (but at 1.10 to the dollar, who cares). Another good website to check recent wins is http://www.betterbidding.com. Ottawa gave from 45$ for 2 star (extended stay, Holiday Inn Chaudiere) to around 80$ for the Westin and the Marriott. Add between 15$ to 20$US for taxes and priceline fee. Still, a very good deal.
canuckhooker 19203 Report post Posted September 18, 2009 Yeah.. not to hijack the thread off of credit cards, but the Priceline "name your price" option is magic, and really easy to use. I would assume during busy season like Winterlude etc, maybe a little less so because there are less empty rooms. I used it last night for first time and in less than a couple of minutes got a room at Novotel for $65 plus fees. Could have probably been cheaper. I just gave them a CC at the desk for "security" but essentially Priceline had paid the room and taxes already. The things I learn from this hobby.
