spud271 47779 Report post Posted June 25, 2013 There is documentary tonight at 9 on TSN. It's about how hockey is bringing both Arab and Jewish children together through sport. I know, a somewhat political documentary on a sports channel! I have been waiting to see this for some time now. I have served, snooped and lost too many friends in the Middle East over the years. Anything that can be done to make this world a better place warms what is left of my soul. Someone asked me the other day why I joined the British Forces? I joined not to fight, I joined to save lives and save this planet from destroying itself. I know that sounds grandiose to many, but that was how I felt and still do to this day. There is hope in this world and no matter how dark the night gets...you can see the stars! http://www.bellmediapr.ca/Network/TSN/Press/TSN-Original-Documentary-NEUTRAL-ZONE-Examines-Hockeys-Role-in-Bridging-Conflicted-Communities-in-the-Middle-East-
steveyK 4311 Report post Posted June 27, 2013 Thanks for bringing this to our attention Spud, invovement in sports has throught the ages helped to ease conflict and it's more often than not the children that have to bring us to our senses... and in this case a good old Canadian pastime!!
