roamingguy 300292 Report post Posted July 5, 2013 Well as a outcall type of guy who goes to a few hotels, find out what happens if you cancel a hotel reservation last minute (like less than 24 hours) or in some cases, if you reserve your room pre-paid. If you cancel, you lose your pre-payment (it's a route I never take, life can throw you a curve) irrespective of how much notice is given. Some doctors have far worse than cancellation fees, there are some specialists and if you cancel on them last minute or not at all (just don't show up) your appointment is rescheduled, you go to the back of the line. Meaning a year, year and half wait for another chance to see him/her if he/she is willing to see you. Cancellation fee, to me it is about the client showing the lady some respect, and appreciating that while for us gentlemen this lifestyle is an escape, for the ladies it is their livelihood. When you schedule an encounter with a lady that lady took you at your word that you would show up, and she expected time with a paying client. When you cancel last minute she can't get another client to replace the time she set aside for you. And in this lifestyle for the ladies time equals money, and money equals income because this is the ladies' livelihood. It boils down to respect. Irrespective of if the lady has a cancellation policy or not, if this gentleman has to cancel last minute for whatever reason, the lady will be compensated My opinion for whatever it's worth RG

The repercussions of a persons actions, IE: missing the appt. are for them to bear, that's common sense, so long as it was made clear by said business. However no matter the business I would hope all people would be considerate and respectful when they use a particular service. In the end though if someone doesn't have the courtesy to cancel properly I highly doubt-cancellation fee or not-that you'll have any success in collecting one from them or affecting them by wait times ect, these types of people are better just ignored. It is true Cristy that for some, collecting a cancellation fee could be difficult. I know with someone needing the services of not just a doctor, but a specialist, for example, getting dropped to the back of the line because of a no show can be worse than paying a cancellation fee. Hotels have no problems collecting a cancellation fee, they have your credit card information. In this lifestyle, it is true, collecting a fee can be difficult. If it is a chronic canceller on one hand the ladies can pass information amongst one another so they don't book encounters with this guy, the flip side, a chronic canceller doesn't care anyway, because he likely wouldn't show to an encounter anyway. At the end of the day though, while I can post my opinion on what I think is the right thing to do, everyone is going to do what they want, and what I would want to do is what I consider the right thing, which is compensate the lady with a cancellation fee, irrespective of if she has a cancellation policy or not To me it is just a simple matter of treating ladies with respect A morning rambling RG

Its those who aren't that make this and any other business difficult and frustrating at times. Your point is what we all want -for everyone to do the right thing, my point is simply that no matter your policy make it obvious or you'll have no leg to stand on and even then, with some that won't matter. In the end we both agree-respect and consideration should be heeded by all, but a lot of people simply do as they please:)
SamanthaEvans 166767 Report post Posted July 5, 2013 I've had policies about deposits and cancellation fees for years with very few problems. It does make a difference that I'm an established professional companion: many of my guests come to see me because they know that I'm not some newbie who may not be willing to work or may not be as discrete and considerate as she should be. I don't take last-minute appointments. Same-day opportunities may be available to established clients, but there's never a guarantee. A new client might get to see me in a couple of days if we establish a good rapport very quickly, but I give first priority to returning visitors and may not be available without a bit more notice. I often book anywhere from a week or two to several months in advance and most of these engagements are several hours long. If someone is coming from out of town and booking well ahead of their visit, I do ask for a deposit. I require deposits from anyone who books long engagements--perhaps they want to meet daily for 3-4 days or a weekend. Plans and circumstances change and I am cheerful about refunding deposits when such things happen, although that's rare. I have had clients who needed to re-schedule and have asked me to hold a deposit to be used against a future meeting. That's not a problem. If someone in the Lower Mainland schedules a meeting with me and then cancels abruptly, I don't make a fuss about it, but the next time they want to book a meeting I will ask for a deposit. I've never had a problem with this. I also think that things have to be taken on a case-by-case basis, as others have said. I'm not here to complicate anyone's life. If we're planning to meet tomorrow but your child is in an accident, your mother suddenly goes into hospital or you've had a car accident, I will understand. Life happens at the most inconvenient times and I prefer to be thought of as considerate, kind and understanding.

Wolf Knight 29667 Report post Posted July 16, 2013 IMO a significant part of being a "good" client is doing your research on a lady that you want to visit with and that includes viewing all information available on the lady including her policies. Now me, I might be a little different in that I almost never do a last minute apt and prefer to try to have some level of communication/rapport building with the lady before an encounter. As I'm sapiosexual (thanks Miss Laurence) I always look well beyond the pretty face (or insert the body part) to the lady behind it. as this requires so time I book well ahead for a new lady and usually a week ahead for a repeat. I have visited with ladies that have had cancellation policies and as a client booking in "good faith" they have never bothered me. I wanted to visit with the lady and if that was part of her business model then so be it. I have also visited with ladies with no firm cancellation policy however it was never a factor in me making my decision to she her. I have cancelled twice on ladies that I booked weeks in advance and both times I cancelled a few days before. Once I was sick and once my trip was cancelled. Neither of the ladies had a written cancellation policy however on both occasions I asked her what her policy was and offered to pay it if there was one. BTW neither of them took me up on it. Bottom line for me is that I want to be known (by the SP's I've visited with and their friends who I might want to see in the future) as a good, gentlemanly client and would never jeopardize my rep over a few bucks.
