Ariane Valmont 332 Report post Posted September 11, 2009 My point was simply that's how the world is and it ain't gonna change anytime soon. There are many things that are wrong in this world and the first step towards change is to talk openly about them. That's how I see it anyway. If everybody keeps quiet about what's unfair, how can we hope to evolve as a society?
AttilaTheHun 356 Report post Posted September 11, 2009 I have had my share women, and I can honestly say that I have never been shy about my reco's if I happened to see a plus size woman. My experiences have included spinners that were drop dead gorgeous "by society's standards" that personally didn't even warrant a recommendation. Then I have experienced many plus size and BBW that just ate me alive and left me gasping for air. For me in the hobby it all starts with the flirty messages and pm's. I can usually judge a woman but they way she writes whether she is open minded, sensual and intelligent. I'm attracted to pure sensuality and intelligence. The pictures help me visualize how I would make love to this person but it all starts with the flirt. So size and height have nothing to do with how I'm attracted to the ladies. If my experience with a non-spinner was a great one then I will write a reco. If its not well I won't but I have not met one yet that has dissappointed me. Guest W***ledi*Time Report post Posted September 11, 2009 I knew some would disagree with me but it doesn't take a lot of perusing the threads to see this. Yes I realize there are threads of curvalicious hotties and yes I could have actually counted and done statistics on everything to show my point but I didn't feel it was necessary. Why did I start this thread because maybe I was hoping others would speak out about the beauty they see in all forms and things might change. Yup, stats are indeed beside the main point. But they're still fun, and CQ's point has been made, so (being curious) I did a little survey of Ottawa recos. I looked at the last 50 consecutive reco-threads. I was looking to see what descriptions (if any) were used by each poster to indicate the "overall" body-type of the lady being recommended. (There are 57 results because I took separate note of each of the 7 "not a spinner" comments). Okay lets play the feud ... top 10 answers on the board ... Survey says ... 24 "spinner" 9 no overall-term used (often a "see picture" comment) 2 tall and thin 1 firm 1 petite 4 emphasis on breast size 7 "not a spinner" 5 curvaceous, voluptous, robust 2 MILF 2 BBW

Not much of a difference. So, we have variety, as I and others have said.
Cato 160314 Report post Posted September 11, 2009 A final, final comment. What I'm objecting to is two ideas in some of these posts: 1. that anyone could be intimidated from posting recommendations of non-spinners. This is the most friendly board I know of, unlike other boards where you can be accused of shilling if you post a good review, or of acting from maliciousness, jealousy, or professional bias if you post a bad one. So I fail to see how anyone can feel that their views aren't welcome or won't be well received. Besides, if Wrinkled's stats are accurate, and I don't doubt that they are, they show that quite a variety of women get recs here. 2. that those of us who like or prefer spinners are somehow deluded by the media into thinking that only certain kinds of women are beautiful, or that it's OK only to like them, and not others. My own tastes are broad, and are not dependent on anyone else's views or approval. That's it from me.

I wouldn't automatically put it into the non-spinner type unless I knew which lady was in question.
PistolPete 61421 Report post Posted September 11, 2009 I'm still scratching my head over this thread, regardless of facts above, or stats. Lets look at the threads, as Cumquat pointed out, or generalized that we (men) always comment on those sexual creatures that are so thin and big breasted...one in particular..that dictates pictures and comments from people(Cerb members including females) that nominated this post. the thread is "Thong of the Day"...look for yourselves, and see those that commented (Including myself) on these sexy creatures we could only view and not have. Am I missing a point here? we are stating that society..mainly men only are attracted/give rec's/talk about/ only spinners? But we male and females all have commented on these pictures..or in fact on a ladies profile, or her album. Maybe I'm in left field, but my thoughts are that we all..(male and female)..... are doing the same thing..making the same comments on thin sexy ladies. Attilla The Hun says it right...... "For me in the hobby it all starts with the flirty messages and pm's. I can usually judge a woman but they way she writes whether she is open minded, sensual and intelligent. I'm attracted to pure sensuality and intelligence. The pictures help me visualize how I would make love to this person but it all starts with the flirt. " Now that is what I understand, to be bang on, and that is why I write rec's regardless of type of lady.
Ariane Valmont 332 Report post Posted September 11, 2009 Let's see the perspective of a larger lady (yes, me! hihi) for a minute here... I have been a BBW for about 7 years. Before that, I guess we could say I was the chubby/curvy type. One thing is sure though: I was never thin. When it comes to men and their opinions on curvaceous women, I've heard it all and I've seen it all. My experience is that the majority of men who are attracted to ample curves are not at ease to openly admit it. Many guys will flirt with you when you're alone in a corner but in front of the "boys", they will say that bigger women are not attractive. (note that I'm using terms like "majority" and "most" to emphasize the fact that, thank god, not all men are like that! ;)) It sounds ridiculous, right? Well, it is! But for some unknown reason, it seems that for many, it is shameful to find beauty in forms that do not correspond to the usual stereotypes. I guess it has to do with people's need to fit in, to be accepted. Once, I was talking about this very topic with a guy and he told me this: "You know what's the difference between a fat girl and a scooter? None. They're both fun to ride but in both cases, you don't want your friends to find out." I have to thank him for sharing that "classy" joke with me because I think it illustrates very well how many men feel. So, yes, Cumquat post does make sense. I don't think he's looking down on people who are attracted to spinners (there's certainly nothing wrong with liking petite women!). I don't think either that he's trying to censor people in any way. In fact, it's just the opposite. I think he is trying to encourage more people to express the attraction they feel towards women with generous curves. Can you be against that? I know I'm not! :) On a final note... I said it before but I feel the need to say it again: cerb definitely is a friendly place. This is the only escort board where I post without having any fear of being critised for the way I look (yes, I do have those fears even though I'm confident and comfortable in my own skin for the simple reason that it's never pleasant to get insulted, especially if you're a softie like me! hihi). That's fantastic! But let's not forget that before anythine else, cerb is a group of individuals who come here with their own backgrounds, experiences, fears and limitations, meaning that if someone is used to hide the fact they like a certain type of women, it won't drastically change because they are now part of virtual community who welcomes diversity. It's a learning process. ;)
Grass_Hopper 18263 Report post Posted September 11, 2009 I think it depends on what you are looking for... Spinners are younger, so they don't give the same kind of service... They are the kind that you have to pay to have a glance from them... The experience of a life time... In the other hand, older girls inspire self-confidence, seduction games and great skills... I guess there are different SPs for different taste...
AttilaTheHun 356 Report post Posted September 11, 2009 Ok I believe that there are differences in what some men would consider a woman as a Spinner, Voluptuous, Plus Size or BBW. Can someone please give and idea of when a spinner is no longer a spinner. Or what does Voluptuous mean to you? PLus size and BBW??? I think there will be as many opinions as members. It seems I had put my foot in my mouth today with my Plus size comments so I need some clarity. ATH

It seems I had put my foot in my mouth today with my Plus size comments so I need some clarity. ATH I think you could have as many answers to this question as there are members on cerb. ;) Here is my definition: Spinner... A woman who is short and thin with discreet curves. "Average" (sorry! Couldn't find a better word)... A woman with a weight proportioned to her height and moderate curves. Curvy... A woman with a little meat on her bones. Plus-size... The minute you wear a size 14 and up, you are considered a plus-size woman. I'm 5'10 so when I was wearing a size 14 (I am now an 18 ), I was curvy but definitely not BBW. But if, for example, you're 5'2 and you wear a size 14, that's a bit different. Voluptuous... This one is tricky too. For me, no matter if you're curvy or BBW, if you have well balanced generous curves, you are voluptuous. BBW... A woman who has very ample curves. She's not just chubby, she's overweight. She may carry it very well... She may not. It all depends. In my opinion, the second B is optional. :)
AttilaTheHun 356 Report post Posted September 13, 2009 Sorry Ariane, I'm still just as confused. I know nothing about dress sizes so I wouldn't know what size 14 is like. So like would a spinner with a petite body but 38D breast still be considered a spinner? or a what about woman who has a 32B, a thin waist and 36" hip? would she be considered meat on her bones? And what about weight? Is a BBW over 250lbs, 300lbs? See I don't think we can easily categorize woman into nice little compartments. I think the beauty lies with the eyes of the beholder and with the woman who carries herself with confidence no matter what her body type looks like. Guest Report post Posted September 13, 2009 Being a smaller lady my hole life. I kind of felt like alien. What I mean by that is. The first thing most people comment on is how small I am and the second thing they comment on is if I eat. This has happened with family members, friends of friends and yes even at work. I would like to say that I eat more than a man at times and at times I have felt picked on. Yes it doesn't just happen to the bigger girls. So lets celebrate our size difference. Beauty has all kinds of forms. I may be beautiful to one person and ugly to the next. That is why a lot of guys put ymmv. I see all kinds of shapes and sizes on this board and that is good. But remember that you have to love yourself first. No matter how corney that may sound. That is my 2 cents.
JoyfulC 132299 Report post Posted September 13, 2009 I always thought "spinner" was a take-off on "spinning" or indoor exercise cycling. I never realized it meant skinny -- I thought it simply meant fit, perhaps even athletic. You learn something new every day!

ATH I agree completely that beauty is a changing concept depending on who you ask. Also, remember that at the beginning of my last post, I precisely said that you would have as many answers to your question as there are members here on cerb... What I gave you were my definitions of these terms. I didn't realize you had asked those questions only to prove a point. I was just trying to be helpful. ;) To answer your other questions, even though they might once again be only to prove your point (hihi): No, in my opinion, you can't be a spinner if you have big breasts. "Meat on her bones" = someone who has a bit of excess weight. I doubt that most women with 36' hips would be chubby. No, a BBW doesn't have to be over 250-300 pounds. A BBW means that you're a large lady but it doesn't mean that you're morbidly obese! There's another term for that which is SSBBW. Those are just expressions to describe certain type of figures. I don't see them as being reductive. They are a simple and easy way to give people an approximate idea of what a lady looks like.

Guest m**l Report post Posted September 14, 2009 I think its really important to look past someones physical appearance and find beauty within...That being said I really dont like how society can put pressure on a woman to look one way in order to be percieved as attractive, sexual ect...I am a petite..I guess what you would call a spinner..I have always had the desire to more voluptous and womanly.. I've always found woman like Mariah Carey for example, to be absoultley stunnig...and she's not tiny. If I wanted to have an sp come to spen time with me, I would wanther to be the opposite of myself...Full breasts, and hips with a round fleshy ass that I could grab. I guess this just goes to show ..the grass is always greener on the other side...
