mod 135640 Report post Posted May 14, 2007 For anyone who just joined or did not receive this email here is a copy... Dear Cerb Member, This email is to update everyone on the posting rules on CERB.CA 1) No slander - This is a SP friendly site so negative comments that are not appropriate, slanderous or hurtful will be removed and the member may be removed as well. 2) No Flame Wars (Includes posts that may provoke a public fight on the board) 3) Don't post private messages from someone else publicly - if you have a problem with a PM you got, send it to me 4) Please post in the proper section, the ladies are allowed to post updates, availability, schedules and announcements in the "Schedules and announcements" areas (In the proper time zones). Spam or advertisement type posts in the recommendations area will be deleted as well. 5) If you want to questions something I did or said, do it using a PM and not in a public thread. I will remove the thread and most likely remove you. 6) Negative comments and bad reviews will most likely be removed so I encourage you to post positive information and not negative comments. Sometimes it's better to say nothing at all. Bottom line... We want this site to be 100% SP friendly and the ladies will not want to participate on this site if you publicly bash them, slander them, make hurtful comments and all the other crap that goes on. Other review sites exist that all this nonsense so if you feel you need to be an ass please visit on of these other sites and cancel your membership on cerb. If you do not agree with these rules just let me know and I will remove you from the members list. Thank you TheMOD We have received many positive comments about this email (any many negative comments as well). Here are some of the positive comments... ----- I have no problems with these rules. I just wish all boards were so proactive. Keep up the good work! ----- Good rules....I totally agree. ----- I concur ----- Sound like good rules to me! ----- Thanks and no problem - sensible rules. ----- I agree and thats great thanks :) ----- I never post anywhere on any board because they seem to be so bad of fighting with everyone. If you keep this board safe I will post here then. ----- You rules are very fair .... and we have had about 30 members ask to be deleted as they do not feel our rules are fair. Most of the members who do not like the rules say that we should just be a advertising site if we do not allow negative posts. Here is my comment to them. Many boards exist for that type of post. We want our discussion board to welcome the ladies into the discussions and let them contribute to the board without worrying about some ass flaming them or jumping all over the thread to make them not want to participate. We encourage you to share your positive experiences and see our site as a community SP friendly website where eventually all the ladies will enjoy using with the guys. We do NOT want to be like the other sites... anonymous posts that can damage someone's reputation is unfair and slanderous without consequence. This choice to ban all negative posts may greatly damage the traffic and membership to the site (We are fully aware of this) but we feel this type of board that is 100% SP FRIENDLY could benefit everyone (Ladies and Gents). We do not wish to have a "Copy Cat" board, many review boards (that encourage negative posts) exist already so why would we need another one? I would not appreciate someone posting anonymous threads about me somewhere that could damage my business that I have invested into and worked hard at so why is it fair to do that to the ladies? In fact if someone did do that I would probably take the site to court for allowing it. For every bad apple who gets slandered on a review board 9 other good sp's (who maybe had a bad day, or the guy was not hygienic or drunk, or and asshole, etc...) well these ladies are also getting slandered (and often we find out the person slandering them is another SP or a boyfriend of another SP) .... God forbid if the ladies try to post to defend themselves.. We all know that if this happens 10 other trolls (or more) jump on in and make sure she is beaten down because she is trying to salvage her reputation! It's not fair and unjustified in most cases. If you wish to participate in a site like that please don't participate here. For all those who agree with me please enjoy the site. We will continue to enforce this new rule, previous threads that are negative will remain unless someone has a valid reason why they thing the thread should be removed. If someone posts something negative but it is not slanderous we may allow it but it will be at our discretion. If you feel a thread is inappropriate please let us know and we will review it. Guest katia Report post Posted March 9, 2008 Cerb is definately a fair board for everyone if we compare with other. We received complains from providers and clients that some other boards (one in particular) delete the good reviews if you do not wish to pay their membership. Very bad behavior! I totally agree with you guys and i know many other do cause it is sometimes discussed in the ladie's board where i belong to.I think it is way too easy for these indeed providers to slender anonymously any other providers for no valid reasons...etc Same think for the fake clients...etc Good Luck everyone! cat 262460 Report post Posted April 19, 2008 Once again, thank you! As you have proven thru example time and again, integrity counts and it is appreciated. Sometimes the high road is a bit of a rough ride, but in the end it is always worth it. Keep up the good work!
Guest hot_lyxxx Report post Posted August 25, 2008 Most reasonable IMOP as courtesy and decorum and not that difficult to achieve and maintain.
Love2Cum 100 Report post Posted August 27, 2008 There are lots of other boards with no rules, the best thing about this board is the active participation of the SPs since they can feel comfortable in the site. The rules make that happen so I'm all for them!
capitalman 3861 Report post Posted August 28, 2008 It all seems to be working. IMHO, the success of this site will rest on the confidence of the Admin and his rules and the commitment of the Admin to maintain this firm stance regardless of pressure to do otherwise. A wise old man once said; "You can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please all the people all the time."

kih 458 Report post Posted August 28, 2008 CERB is an awesome. There is a wealth of information to be found here and the real strength of this community is in its diverse membership and respective contributions as a whole.
Guest C*****tte Report post Posted September 20, 2008 I just wanted to pop into this thread and say that as a SP I very much appreciate the tone of this board. I think the idea of recommendations goes a long way to bring some civility to this experience and it helps recognize that attraction, connection and pleasure is a very subjective thing. Kudos to CERB!
okneil 2007 114 Report post Posted September 20, 2008 It is important to share positive experiences, and to learn from them. If we didn't have these rules, not only would the SP's be hurt. A SP could easily say bad things about someone they had a date with, and reputations all around could be hurt. I am new to this site, but will stay and continue to learn and participate! Joyful_Jillian 102 Report post Posted September 22, 2008 <nodding in agreement with Charlotte> Yes indeed; CERB has standards I value. The guys I've met through CERB and Escorts-Canada are, without exception, high calibre people. Ladies, it doesn't hurt to use our SPs toll-free customer care line just to tell those folks -- the whole team who toil behind the scenes on our behalf -- thanks, you're doing a great job. I interact with the owners of this website and EC on a fairly regular basis. When I phoned in a blind panic recently from New Brunswick, needing changes to my ads, and no computer access to get my ads updated, the folks at CERB/E-C had my changes made in no time flat. Not only is this an exceptionally informative and well-managed forum site, but the "other side of the house" -- the advertising and design work which pays to support a quality website like CERB, is also equally well managed and easy to work with. Well done!
Joe King 139 Report post Posted September 22, 2008 A SP could easily say bad things about someone they had a date with, and reputations all around could be hurt. As someone who had that exact same thing happen to them on another board by a paid advertiser, I would like to make the following recommendation to rule #1 as we are in the 21st century and we are considered equals... 1) No slander - This is a SP/Pooner friendly site so negative comments that are not appropriate, slanderous or hurtful will be removed and the member may be removed as well. I have no issues and will continue to recommend in the Victoria/Vancouver section for you folks out east when you come to visit the wet coast... I will also continue to review (Stir the pot) on another board... I do see a few friendly names here ;-) If any of you gents are visiting, feel free to shoot me a pm for assistance for your pleasurable stay... My apologies to Captain for not finding his post for Recommendations in the Vancouver section in time for his visit... Any ladies visiting that need some assistance to help with your visit, please also feel free to pm me... 8) Play safe and keep yer stick on the ice
