This is a great post!

I have worked in "real spa's" and have worked the proper side of massage, and I have had to "clean up a big mess" before, and gotta say, it is extremely disgraceful to do that to someone that is not expecting it! Especially with no tip in sight! lol

Not nice to have to deal with. We are in this industry because we want to be here, but to do that to someone when they clearly are not, is an insult...almost assault in some cases!

I just don't understand why not visit the appropriate establishment or lady? Is it about the fee? About being naughty??

Cyclo, it looks like this might be a great sticky (as in sticky thread) for the Winnipeg massage section.

Not just for the Winnipeg Section It should be a Sticky for All Canada!!!

As someone who has experienced both, I must say there is a huge difference in service and atmosphere. when I see an RMT it is for relieving tense muscle and aches due to stress or physically abusing myself with laboursome work. I often come out even more sore than when I came in but the mobility is gained. Its very professional done and I cannot understand how someone could get confused or just ignorant and behave in a sexual manor when there is nothing sexual about it.

now when attending a spa who provides this sexual encounter it may have a lot of therapeutic effects but (no offence to the ladies) the massage is not the same. yes its relaxing and loosens the muscle a bit but not nearly as much as an RMT. however they sure know how to make me rise if you know what I mean.

I guess what I'm trying to say is they provide two separate services and one should never be confused by the other. I think some people may of watched one too many porn movies.

It is sad to say but perhaps RMT may need to voice record their session in order to protect themselves. This could even be used as evidence when some horny prick decide to sexually assault by make this types of propositions.

great point cyclo!

Thank you Cyclo. You have articulated what I have been trying to say for weeks. Excellent points and information.

Again, well done!

It is my hope that questions from those that are looking for RMT's who provide extras are treated just like those that ask questions like:

any sp who smokes crack?

any 16 year old sps working?

We tell them they are not welcome to ask these types of questions and to please refrain from asking for this service. In my opinion, asking which RMT provides happy endings, should be considered illegal, if not, immoral.

I also hope that this becomes a sticky for all areas. A lot of newbies do not go to the general section, they ask these types of questions in the area they live.

Please, for the sake of my friends who are RMTs and do not want to provide anything but a massage, they feel like they are being violated when you try to get extras, especially when they do not advertise in any way shape or form that they provide anything but a legitimate massage they were trained to provide.

AMEN Cyclo!

Very well said and thank you!

There is no reason hobbyists can't have their cake and icing, just don't go to the same place and expect both.

I have seen both sides of the RMT coin, women who have lost their licenses and been fired for giving a hj on the job, and men who have been charged, and men who have been banned for life from certain RMT establishments.

This is something that can get serious really fast for someone being careless and thinking "let's see how far i can push her/him".

Great thread!

Thank you very much for pointing out the difference. I am a graduate of massage therapy but I do not represent myself as a RMT. It has taken the massage therapy boards, HCPs & RMTs many years and to be recognize as a health care profession. I respect that and if I were working as a RMT, I would never cross that line...no matter who you are.If there are RMTs out there offering happy endings....then they are not only disrespecting their position as a HCP but also the HCPs of their dustry, their clients and to themselves.

There are way way way too many posters in the Winnipeg section asking about this. It is disturbing that so many guys have such little respect for women's education and training.

I worry about some guy shooting his mouth off with a questionable claim about "happy ending" from someone who doesn't give them. In the Winnipeg section, there is a thread which is easy to misinterpret.

This misunderstand or maliciousness could put an innocent RMT in really big trouble.

I know 2 RMTS.. one is a male and one is a female.

The female told me that a guy once turned over and expected a happy ending. She left the room to talk to one of her co-workers to try and get this guy out of there. When she and another co-worker had returned to the room, there he was lying on the table masturbating.

The male told me he had one woman lay rip off the sheets they use to cover clients and lay there naked propositioning him. What is stopping this woman when she leaves to go and tell the front desk that he sexually harassed her or inappropriately touched her? Absolutely nothing. He had to tell her that she was making him uncomfortable and that the sheet is used for a reason.

This is utterly ridculous and disrespectful to these men and women who spend 2 or 3 years going to school for training and have to put up with that nonsense. Some people are idiotic and ignorant!

I agree with you completely as I have four very close RMT friends who are health care professionals and I find this type of thing appalling. One of my friends is an very attractive lady who fortunately has never had this type of thing happen to her but if it did knowing her she would punch his lights out and call the police. Another has her own private clinic and she has regular clients as she has established her business over many years. She rarely accepts anyone new as she doesn't have to but if she does they are carefully vetted and are sent to her by referral only. My other two RMT friends are in shared clinics with chiropractors and physiotherapists and they have never had any problems or issues. If a guy had an attractive female dentist probing around in his mouth would he pull out his willy and smack it?? (Rhetorical). Never go there with any professional health care worker!!!

What a great summary post. RMTs are so busy anyways, they don't need to help give you a receipt to get jerked off

I don't know how many times I have been asked if I give receipts to put through insurance.

Just imaging what you would write on an official receipt?

Sure would make your insurance company sit up and pay attention, wouldn't it?

Considering that most insurance companies only pay out about $60 to an RMT, would you really expect to get this from them? Think people, think.

So if one were to want to have two separate professions, one as a condenser and one as a RMT. Totally illegal, right?

I don't think it would be illegal to be a condenser.

Although, I don't know how someone could be one, let alone want to be one.

I think you mean being an escort and being an RMT?

There is nothing illegal about an RMT being an escort. However, if the organization that licenses registered massage therapists find out, they will remove her licence, and she will no longer be a REGISTERED massage therapist.

Does that help?

Massage therapy is medical treatment for restriction of mobility and pain. I see an RMT because my back hurts, my neck is too stiff to let me look over my shoulder or my shoulders are locked. They beat me up, and I hurt more for a little while, and the next day I can move more easily.

To assume that because someone is administering a medical treatment that involves touching your body you have license to push the envelope and see if they'll touch your body sexually is grossly inappropriate.

And if you try to initiate such contact during a treatment, you're not committing sexual harassment. You're committing sexual assault.

Understood

Was obviously a spelling mistake.

I am wondering if some men ask RMT's for extras because they think RMT's are desperate enough to cross boundaries, so therefore will do it and provide a receipt for the benefit of the client, because of this post. That is a strange way to view the world and the people in it. To think that everyone has a price and everyone will service any man because of some imagined desperation.

My, that is sad on so many levels.

So happy to see this post. It's not at all fair to RMTs to ask for these services. If someone isn't advertising for a service, leave them be and find someone who IS advertising for that service. Pushing boundaries is gross.

I just had some idiot ask me on my legitimate therapy ads on another site (for a registered therapist) if I did happy endings!

Geez guys, if its on a legitimate site with a website connected to a clinic or a hospital, they probably won't be giving anyone services like this!

Please don't ask for services like this of legitimate therapists, it just pisses them off.

Yes of course , the fee, the fee, the fee. I can visit my RMT for an hour for $80 .

I also offer an introductory door fee for massage at $80. I was asked today if I still had the 80 dollar introductory offer .

I said , "sure of course ". I also said this offer did not include extras etc . Without getting into detail and being nice I told him ad ons were extra .

I wonder if he asked a RMT would she be as nice ? No I doubt it. He would be escorted away from the business as he ought to be .

This sort of thing will go on forever and perhaps its best not to even answer.
