There had been some premature discussion about the location but that is wrong. If you want to attend you need to PM me for the details. Sorry about the confusion, but this is my first time organizing one of these socials, and my musings about a possible location made people think that is where it would be. The location can only be obtained by PMing me. Sorry for the confusion, and sorry to have to put this level of security on the event, but there are people out there who may be up to no-good. This is open to anyone who wants to come even if Poly in its many forms is not one of your big interests. It is very good for SPs to network and meet potential clients. They are usually good fun. CH. I would assume it is different from orgies as "poly" relationships tend to include one person of one sex and multiple people of the other sex... Whereas orgies usually refers to group sex settings. So it could be a threesome, foursome, moresome or a GB type event. As someone well versed in polyamory, as well as very experienced in these relationships and the community, I can say it is not a sex thing. The emphasis is actually on loving romantic relationships. Over time, the prefix has become short hand for this lifestyle and relationship dynamic of loving more than one person. I figure given that more people here are familiar with the idea of group sex than polyamory that the term is here to stay. d*mm*y 887 Report post Posted September 25, 2009 When I went to university Poly was a term for different derivatives of plastic, poly-nylon, poly-propylene, poly-carbon (one of my favorites!!). Poly was also a common part of the name of technical schools (it still is I just don't pay attention any more). Polytechnic anyone? The word is many and can have many connotations. I am not sure why we get so hung up on semantics. It evolved because of the bad connotations with gang bang the group is not a gang bang group as we have had members involved in MMMFF, MMFF, MFF, etc... As for the social meetings, yes they are for anyone in the group, and the group is for anyone that wants to be involved OR is curious about multi-person or poly party sex. Anyone interested in finding out more about our activities, or curious about the group. The people who show up are about 50-50 between those curious and those active, one interesting phenomena is many of the active members are not interested in the social events, and several of the social members are not interested in actually participating but would rather live vicariously through others. Like all fantasies for some it is better left as a fantasy. I don't know if I will ever be able to unravel the confusion for many of you, and if the idea or threads don't make sense just look the other way. In my swinger days I knew many a respectable lady who enjoyed getting it on with a dozen men at a time. It was all good times for those involved. But I think it is to be expected that there will always be a discussion about the name of the group just as there will always be discussions about the true GFE defintion and other escort terms.
