Amelia Fox 9064 Report post Posted August 7, 2013 I'm visiting Sydney for the first time next week, and am curious as to things to do specifically in Sydney. Any suggestions and must sees would be greatly appreciated.
Tallrichsexy 1546 Report post Posted August 7, 2013 If you are driving to Sydney , Take a few extra hours and go around the Cabot Trail over the Englishtown Ferry , there are not a lot of sights in Sydney but lots just outside , Baddeck is nice and there are some cool cliffs out in the Donkin area .
Meaghan McLeod 179664 Report post Posted August 7, 2013 The Cabot trail is beautiful. However, its a long drive. Any great restaurants, bars, boardwalks to walk around and not have to spend 8 hours driving?
Katherine of Halifax 113932 Report post Posted August 7, 2013 Unfortunately Sydney does not have many sights. It is however steeped in musical culture. Check the Cape Breton Post there are always festivals and concerts this time of year. I was there last year during Rock The Dock Days and spent some extra time to enjoy Minglewood, Sam Moon, Jimmy Rankin and other great acts. There is also a nice playhouse called Boardmore that hosts great events, its on Grand Lake Road. Now if you do all that the clients will suffer. Have fun ladies .
canuckhooker 19203 Report post Posted August 7, 2013 Depending how far you want to travel, Louisbourg is not too far away and really is a neat place to visit. Or you can go watch the sun rise over the tar ponds.

To see the Cabot trail right you would need more then a few hours. wink Sydney itself doesn't really have much but like tallrichsexy says outside of Sydney has a lot. This time of year i loved going to Louisburg make sure you make time to go to Kennington cove beach if you go to Louisburg.
