dreamer8 510 Report post Posted May 17, 2007 where are all the posts?
rick_falcon 911 Report post Posted May 17, 2007 I also noticed the change but what happened is that by default, it only posts the threads from the last day. If you want to see them all, just go at the bottom and click a longer period of time. It's a bit annoying because when you log off and come back on, it seems to always get to that default of one day. So you must select again the period of time.
mod 135640 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 I am trying to find out where in the control panel I can change this... Rick is right... the default appears to now be just 1 day. Very odd. We made some changes to the site (as you can see) we purged some inactive sections and merged some of the massage info with the escort info and renamed the categories as "Service Providers" as well. Hope it's not too confusing but we had a lot of inactive area's that just made the site hard to navigate.
mod 135640 Report post Posted May 18, 2007 Fixed it (I think) it should be back to normal.. boy it's hard to find things in the admin for this system... it's so jam packed with features that it's very hard to find specific stuff (Especially when you don't know what you would call it)
JoyfulC 132299 Report post Posted May 19, 2007 When I logged on today and looked, I had to click on the column to show postings by date "Last Post" column -- to get it to show the posts in most recent order of activity. They were apparently ordered alphabetically in the first view I had. ..c..
mod 135640 Report post Posted May 19, 2007 Very Odd... anyone having this same problem??
leyley 108 Report post Posted May 19, 2007 Yes, every time I open cerbs, I have to re-select my choices of viewing the threads. I still enjoy reading them. Leyley
JoyfulC 132299 Report post Posted May 19, 2007 And now I have another problem: when I open a thread, I see the most recently posted reply first. Ain't technology wonderful?? ;) ..c..
mod 135640 Report post Posted May 20, 2007 It really is so jam packed with stuff you just can't find anything. JoyfulC I added you to the "Service Provider" group yesterday so this would explain the display problem on your account - I think I fixed that problem (Let me know if you still see the same problem) The default setting for threads to show has been set to 100 so it should no longer default to "The last day" please PM me if you still are having this same problem and I will look into it as it may be happening on a "Per Account" basis. mod 135640 Report post Posted May 20, 2007 How about now? Everyone fixed up now? I found where to change the defaults. Something happened the other day when I removed the unused categories and it changed all the forums defaults to "Sort by title" instead of "Sort by date of last post" ... please let me know if it's still not right and I promise I will keep trying. leyley 108 Report post Posted May 21, 2007 Hi Mod, my problem is in the Display Option, the default of the "From The" is set to "Last Year". It sure makes for a long list. How can i make it default to "the last 2 weeks or so? Leyley
mod 135640 Report post Posted May 22, 2007 Your best option is to use the New Posts link at the top of the site. This should show you all the newest posts since the last time you logged in. I set the default to "The Last Year" as some people where having problems finding old posts. You can change this at the bottom of the page (Sort order area)
