Thanks! My only concern with the article is the sort of hand-waving dismissal of the issue of sex trafficking. I instinctively feel it's a genuine problem that needs to be taken more seriously than that.

If you haven't already, you should visit her website, The Naked Anthropologist. She has done a lot of research in this field and publications on the issue. She is well respected in the community.

OOI, does anyone have a good source for the stats on how many trafficked people end up in the sex industry, as opposed to others where they commonly go (like construction, agriculture, domestic work, etc)?

 

Just wondering, and too lazy to put any effort into research right now.
