Guest S*rca****sid Report post Posted October 5, 2013 Are you using the auto configure when you're adding the account to your phone? If so try using the manual settings, for that you will require the imap and smtp server settings for mail.com

Guest S*rca****sid Report post Posted October 5, 2013 Here are the settings: The Mail.com Premium IMAP server settings for accessing Mail.com messages and folders in any email program or service are: Mail.com IMAP server address: imap.mail.com Mail.com IMAP user name: Your full Mail.com email address ([email protected], for instance) Mail.com IMAP password: Your Mail.com password Mail.com IMAP port: 993 (alternative: 143) Mail.com IMAP TLS/SSL required: yes (if you use port 143: no) The Mail.com Premium outgoing SMTP server settings for sending mail through Mail.com from any email program service are: Mail.com SMTP server address: smtp.mail.com Mail.com SMTP user name: Your full Mail.com email address ("[email protected]", for example) Mail.com SMTP password: Your Mail.com password Mail.com SMTP port: 587 (alternatives: 465 and 25) Mail.com SMTP TLS/SSL required: yes (alternative: no)
roamingguy 300292 Report post Posted October 5, 2013 Thanks for all the info. Don't know why but it just won't configure. Funny thing, if I go on the internet on my phone, access the mail.com site and log on there, then I get my account no problem. But on my email icon it just won't configure Maybe a drive to Rogers this week, they might be able to figure out something Thanks Again RG
Guest S*rca****sid Report post Posted October 5, 2013 Try setting the POP3 instead of IMAP... The Mail.com Premium POP3 server settings for downloading mail from Mail.com to any email program (or email service) are: Mail.com POP server address: pop.mail.com Mail.com POP user name: Your full Mail.com email address (say, "[email protected]") Mail.com POP password: Your Mail.com password Mail.com POP port: 995 (alternative: 110) Mail.com POP TLS/SSL required: yes (if you use port 110: no)

Tallguy007 4172 Report post Posted October 6, 2013 I had a similar problem when I set up my new phone. I kept entering my userid as just "tallguy007" whereas it needed to be "[email protected]". (not my actual personal e-mail address, in case you're wondering)
roamingguy 300292 Report post Posted October 6, 2013 Thanks but I'm putting in my email address, not just username. Always comes back server does not support TLS RG
