daddio 2704 Report post Posted December 20, 2009 Well, my reasoning was very simple. Kiltman means I wear kilts...a lot. I wear them as everyday "going-out-and-about" clothing. They're comfortable and I think they look great. And women just seem to love them! K... Hey Kiltman - I don't want you getting all the attention from the ladies! I wear the kilt too. But not every day, as I ride a bike and the winter windchill can do nasty things to the organ that carries your vital bodily fluids! lol Assuming that you wear it as a "true" Scot! But, I agree that the kilt is otherweatherwise very comfortable. Air conditioning in the summer. D ps If any ladies in Halifax are interested in finding out what is worn under the kilt - pm me. The old joke is that "nothing's worn under the kilt, everything is in perfect working order."
daddio 2704 Report post Posted December 20, 2009 I named myself after the children's book "A Wrinkle in Time" by Madeleine L'Engle. In this novel, the fictional protagonists transport themselves through the universe by means of tessering, a phenomenon that is essentially explained as folding (or wrinkling) the fabric of space-time. This wrinkling creates a fifth-dimensional shortcut or juxtaposition, thereby allowing quick travel between two otherwise remote areas of the space-time continuum. (So, wrinkling is closely related to the science-fictional concepts of the wormhole, jump drive, hyperdrive, warping, teleportation, the Holzman Effect, etc.) Why is some fictional space-time portal relevant to this hobby? Well ... every time I am priveleged to step through a special lady's door, and into the magical world that lies within, a specific feeling comes over me. I always feel like her world is so wonderfully and impossibly remote from the usual (four-dimensional) territory of my hum-drum everyday life, that something like fifth-dimensional travel can be the only possible explanation for my being able to arrive there so easily. Surely no regular door could separate two such extraordinarily contrasting worlds! Therefore, using L'Engle's terminology, I must have Wrinkled in Time. Happily (or unhappily, as the case may be), the more matter-of-fact interpretation of my handle also works perfectly well. As conventional time passes, I find I am indeed becoming progressively wrinkled in the usual three dimensions of bodily space. Hey WIT Don't worry about time in the usual 3 dimensions. I have a perception that I am much more wrinkly than you. But, if I used some windex on Blake's "doors of perception" I might have a clearer vision. The prospect is a bit scary mind you. I wonder if the vision through rose coloured glasses (non-windexed) is the better/best way to go???

The old joke is that "nothing's worn under the kilt, everything is in perfect working order." According to the Black Watch FAQ the answer to that question is The Loch Ness monster is NOT a legend. :shock:
Emma Alexandra 123367 Report post Posted December 20, 2009 As I mindlessly clicked around the web with more of one thing on my mind than anything else, I stumbled upon cerb and didn't really know what the whole thing was about (with such a great community) in signing-up looking to perv, ...err ...browse... adverts for local service providers. To make a fake name which was not identifiable outside cerb, I quickly came-up with what has been in my head for decades... The Sound of Porn Music... Cheesy Porn Music. Bown-Chicka-BOWN! WOWN!! REEEE-eeee-EEEEE-eeee! (Thrown in with a squeaky bed at the end for good measure.) It's something I picked-up back in the uni dazes and has always stuck with me. After making a few posts and learning more about cerb, I wanted to change it to a better name, but don't believe I can just change names on this account. ...and I didn't want to create a new one after getting this one set-up. BCB/ That's the best reason yet for a handle..love it..now i have that tune stuck in my head though...yikes!..lmao...

The old joke is that "nothing's worn under the kilt, everything is in perfect working order." Too true. Winter windchill can turn an "outty" into an "inny", but I'll wear them in proper tradition down to around -30. My fav response to "The Question" is "good girls dinna ask such questions...and bad girls find out for themselves". Around here I think we know what the response of the SP's would be! daddio 2704 Report post Posted December 30, 2009 This bad girl wants to find out! ;) Hey, Erin; I'm in Halifax, which I think is closer to you than Winnipeg. But then, with Air Canada you may be cheaper closer to Winnipeg. Anyway, if you ever come to Halifax let me know and I will visit you in my kilt and my Lion Rampant (means a Lion "standing" - on its hind legs) And I, unlike the fabled haggis of Scotland, have only one pair of legs, so you can guess what will be "rampant". hehe

I've always wanted to get out East, since I've never been out that way. Nothing hotter than a man in a kilt :)

Guest C****** K***e Report post Posted December 30, 2009 Chantal Kyrie - I took the Kyrie from Kyrie Eleison, part of the RC mass. It means Lord have mercy, and I've always been attracted to it as a beautiful phrase, in both sound and meaning. I actually have it as a tattoo. Guest Ou**or**n Report post Posted January 2, 2010 OutForFun - not the simple meaning it would seem to have on the surface. For me its my constant reminder to myself about how to take this hobby - as paid casual sex. I'd put myself through an emotional wringer a couple of times in the past as really great sex can cause confusing emotions (many awesome threads here on that topic). I also became very close friends with some in the past (even trying to play white knight on occasion) and had things go very wrong. This hobby can sometimes really involve playing with fire and its my way of keeping from getting burned.
