Guest jake_cdn Report post Posted December 14, 2013 First let me say that I know that this has been discussed been previously in this forum but I am still having a tough time understanding the mechanics of this. I have looked for an adequate response that outlines this but cannot find one. I would appreciate a PM so that things are not rehashed for everyone one more time. I know that there are door fees if going to parlour and the extras can discussed once inside. What I cannot get my head around is the negotiation of the extras. I am afraid that I will get inside and find the price too high for the services. If that is the case then I would feel awkward leaving having paid the door fee and it wanting to be rude. I guess my questions are as follows; Are private appointments different from appointments in a business environment? Is it rude to ask about the fees beforehand? I know that the fees are not to be discussed at the door but can they be determined before going in? Has your experience been that it is better to arrange something through a parlour or independent MA? Once again I apologize if this posting is redundant but please be patient as I would like to start participating in this area but I still cannot resolve these issues. Please PM your response as I do not want to clutter up this forum even more than I already have. Thanks in advance.
IsaMassage 54318 Report post Posted December 14, 2013 Hi Jake.. This thread I beieve has miost of the info you are looking for... http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=148646 Just in case here is answer to each of your individual question... Are private appointments different from appointments in a business environment? A: Service will even be different within the same business as all MAs have their own style, personality.., likes and dislikes so you cant even break service from business like to indipendent,.. as MAs are individuals and everyone is different... Is it rude to ask about the fees beforehand? A: No it is not rude to ask for fees in advanced.. You will find that when you contact a business they may not mention the tipping options... again they can range between 60$-120$... Independents usually will provide you with all inclusive fees and packages... but Also ladies in Spas (i will include myself) can provide you with All inclusive packages and when you compare them It will come to being similar... pretty much the same... the only difference is when you go to an independent she does not have to pay a door fee but some portion will cover rent and other expenses that help run her business... Ladies at a Spa have a set door fee that varies between 40 and 80 depending on the length of the session.... I know that the fees are not to be discussed at the door but can they be determined before going in? A: say you decide to show up as a walkin at a Parlour..., the lady may invite you in the room and you can have a chat about the fees... even before you decide to stay or not... again depending on the level of service you are looking for you are looking between 60$ and 120$... on top of the door fee... I know that the fees are not to be discussed at the door but can they be determined before going in? A: I cant really answer that question.. all I can say is.. there is lots of ladies here on Cerb that may work out of a Spa BUT they book their appointments on their own same as an independent will ... My suggestion is check out what ladies interest you... and if she is part of a spa and dont have a way fo contacting her directly aside from the spa number... talk to the managers they most likely will be able to answer most questions... dont be afraid... Hope this helped....
CMJ 14869 Report post Posted December 14, 2013 I think the easiest option for you would be to stick with establishments and providers who offer the all inclusive rates. Ox That way you know exactly how much you will be spending and if you wish to tip, it will because you wanted to above and beyond rather then "tipping" for services. VIP, CMJ and upscale independents like Jessica Massage and Sensual Erin offer all inclusive rates with no hidden fees.
Robynxoxo 10509 Report post Posted December 15, 2013 (edited) I was going to pm, but I think it is more helpful to the board if dont.I don't mean Any disrespect by not doing so. I think this board is an excellent source for information on whatever it is that you seek. And if you are fortunate enough to have an account you can speak with the specific lady you wish to see to ask directly on what fees are to be expected. Some ladies have non- negotiable rates. And I think it would be unfair to say that a spa or specific lady is not " up-scale" if she chooses not to state the rates as an inclusive amount. It can be stated however one see fit. At any spa, a portion of the fee goes to the " house " whether it's paid up front, or as an inclusive rate. If a lady choose to charge anything beyond that that means she's offing something that is not typical and yes, in that case I agree that it can be quite confusing because some people don't come with the expectations if anything other than a massage and a hj. And please don't be discouraged to go any particular spa, or see a particular lady jake_cdn or anyone else for that matter. There are many great ladies everywhere. Keep it rosey and cheers. Athos 108589 Report post Posted December 15, 2013 I can remember the first time I went to a spa feeling very nervous, about many of the same questions you are asking Jake. How much, will I have enough? I don't like negotiating, so my inclination is to go to spas where there is a clear pricing structure. I also, I must confess, don't really go to spas looking for extras. So that makes things a bit easier for me. Nevertheless, my advice would be to take the plunge. You've got some excellent advice in this thread regarding the general price structure. Go, make sure you have a couple of hundred over and above the door fee. Don't hesitate to tell your attendant that you are a little uncertain of how it all works. She'll gladly lead you through the money questions. Once that is done, lay back and enjoy. Guest c**io**m7 Report post Posted December 15, 2013 Not sure what you mean by "extras" but, I would suggest you contact an MA you are interested in, ask her fee structure and don't be shy to ask what it includes. I think most will be upfront and honest with you. That way, you will know to bring enough $$. Cheers and good luck.
Guest m**on Report post Posted December 16, 2013 Well i think to answer your question about private or Spa, this would come down to your comfort level and how descreet you want to be as private can be a little more descreet and relaxing, but with that being said i have had very enjoyable experiences with both. As for asking about fee's before hand, for sure as i always like to estabish a base fee so i know how much cash to have on hand. when i come's to trying to establish fee's for extra's before hand this could be a little more difficult for a MA to provide as they say YMMV. Do you show up wearing rubber boots and smelling of sheep and looking as though the thought of a shower hadn't crossed your mind in awhile, or smelling nice and clean shaven. There is also the comfort level when you meet and is there a connection. So in my opinnion this can only be determined after meeting. Now, last of all which have i personally had a better experience with Parlor or Independent. Hands down no contest BOTH. Where you go is all about who you see not where as there are some wonderful ladies out there. So go out and explore and have fun, thats what i do. Sensual Erin 33928 Report post Posted December 16, 2013 (edited) If I may help clear up the question earlier in this thread in regards to the definition of upscale. As an independent, there is no establishment to promote, book, or answer inquiries. The client should expect the same attention to detail, environment and cleanliness, that you would find at one of the elite spa's, but in a private setting and priced inclusively for these reasons. These threads are informative and it's never redundant to inform ourselves. Edited December 16, 2013 by Sensual Erin Added thought
dsmit267 100 Report post Posted January 6, 2014 I think the easiest way is to take what the fee range is instead of the fee for service is. I've been in situations where the fee is too high, but what can you do at that point in the massage?
Taylor, Olivia Devine 16934 Report post Posted January 8, 2014 I do agree with Robyn, Luckily you have come to the Cerb community in which you have the opportunity to speak with a particular lady or business in regards to the fees before you set out for your adventure. There are many wonderful massage spas and independent MA's, experience both :)
whiteman 14028 Report post Posted January 23, 2014 I've mentioned the typical fee structure for massage in a previous thread, here: CERB - Canadian Escort Recommendation Board - View Single Post - Tipping However, one question that I find really useful to ask is simply, "How much money should I bring?" This should not be a problem to ask on the phone, and most MA's should have no problem answering that. You're not asking about any specific services, you're not bargaining on the phone, you're just simply asking what is the maximum that you should expect to pay? Now whether you use up the full amount that you brought is completely upto you. When you get there and discuss directly with the MA specifics about how much and for what, you can choose which services you would want, which may end up being less than what you brought along.
