fortunateone 156618 Report post Posted December 20, 2013 I have two favourites. "The Little Drummer Boy" with Bing & Bowie and "So This is Christmas" by the late great John Lennon. Both songs touch me in different ways. As a side note, I am not ashamed to admit that the majority of songs on my iPod are Christmas songs. I'm someone who doesn't really like the song itself, but I REALLY love the Bing an d Bowie mashup of LDB and Peace on Earth for some reason. Here is another newer group version, for those who do like LDB.

IamaGeek 3664 Report post Posted December 23, 2013 I have 2 that come to mind. I have an old vinyl collection from the 80s compiled by the Book of the Month club. While this is probably the greatest collection of Christmas music I have ever heard, my favourites are John Fahey playing Carol of the Bells and a very simple and very powerful recording of Odetta singing Go Tell It On the Mountain.
