Emma Alexandra 123368 Report post Posted December 22, 2009 To put it succinctly, I do not sleep with my friends, but I do sleep with my (SP) companions. I do not pay my friends to be friends, but I do pay my (SP) companions to be companions. you are a very wise man Spike... as most of us no matter who we are do not sleep with friends... a friend is just that a friend...kisses
CookiesNScream 363 Report post Posted December 22, 2009 I have sessions without sex all the time. Some people may want the 'blow and go' experience, but there is nothing wrong with just having fun either.
pjrd 324 Report post Posted December 22, 2009 you are a very wise man Spike...as most of us no matter who we are do not sleep with friends... a friend is just that a friend...kisses I agree with you to a point but lots of people have fuck buddies. Are they not friends? Having said that, I have slept with the odd friend and it kinda changes the situation emotionally. If your SP becomes a friend do you stop sleeping with her? Maybe that would be an interesting thread trying to decide exactly what we mean by friends as opposed to companions. PJ:handjob:
YoungStud 468 Report post Posted December 23, 2009 I agree with you to a point but lots of people have fuck buddies. Are they not friends? It depends. Some are just fuck buddies. Nothing wrong with that. Having said that, I have slept with the odd friend and it kinda changes the situation emotionally. Sure. Kind of obvious that it would, though, no? Your (and her) choice however. If your SP becomes a friend do you stop sleeping with her? I don't see the two as mutually exclusive, but then, that's just me. Maybe that would be an interesting thread trying to decide exactly what we mean by friends as opposed to companions. Sure. Why don't you start it? If you frame the question really carefully, it could be a great thread. Cheers, Y.S.
C**** C***l 155 Report post Posted December 23, 2009 I find this thread very interesting... I have clients who are friends...we have great sex, we shop, we talk on the phone, email, chat online, go for coffee/lunch/dinner/drinks... we send each other birthday cards, give each other little gifts...to me this is a friendship...it is a mutual enjoyment of each others company...when one of these clients books a session for an hour, I will automatically allocate extra time because I want to spend time catching up or going for lunch prior to or following our session... I also have friends who are clients...friends who over time decided they wanted to see me in my professional capacity...it is virtually the same as the above scenario... Social time isn't listed in my advertising at all...it used to be but I removed it...I found I don't feel comfortable providing strictly social time...I know my time is valuable and this is my livelihood but quite frankly, if I want to share that time with my friends/clients, I'll do it because it means more to me than simply a business transaction...this is just the way I operate obviously...many wonderful SPs provide "date" packages...it just doesn't work for me... In all this time, I have only had one client who became such a good friend that I could no longer have him as a client...we don't have sex as friends either - although if the situation allowed, I could see it happening...and then I would charge him for a session... :D

NotchJohnson 214123 Report post Posted December 23, 2009 I'm reading this post for the first time today and see what everyone is talking about. I think the reason why some members/sp's are friends now is because of this site, if client's and sp's could not communicate before and after a session it would turn out to be a plain and simple service offered. Now add some communication in the equation and you get a relationship much like dating. I have met some members/sp's from Cerb and built a relationship with them which is priceless. These are people that I can open up to and talk about anything and not be judged.

Guest S***e Report post Posted December 23, 2009 This is an excellent point and I agree with you very much on this as I think many will do likewise. The social aspect of this site tends to lend itself to forming friendships to varying degrees. I think the reason why some members/sp's are friends now is because of this site. pjrd 324 Report post Posted December 23, 2009 wow, thanks everyone. I never expected to get so many replies to this thread. I as a carpenter which is also a service, have often, after a long days work for a customer, enjoyed sitting around after work haveing a beer with them. sometimes staying for dinner or going out for socializing as friends. It`s great but I would never even think of trying to charge them for that. It just isn`t in my job description. We`re hanging out. I don`t mean any disrespect to the girls by saying that because some of you have that in your job description. Well I guess as far as an escort working for an agency goes that is their job desc. according to the local bylaws anyways. It`s nice to see all the different points of view here and the bottom line is everyone walks away with a smile whether it`s full sex service or not. I am also glad to see that what I talked about in the original post happens all the time and is a good thing. PJ

The social aspect of this site tends to lend itself to forming friendships to varying degrees. Indeed. Since I've been hanging around here, I've meet several folks who have become either on-line or in-person friends via CERB, who share similar interests. Lol. However, it's interesting to note that my LTR/Fav of long-standing is someone I met completely outside of CERB. So there is life beyond this place. Lol. But I should also acknowledge that at some point in the past, somewhere in Canada, she's also received a favourable CERB recco. So CERB is a force for social interaction, for sure. misterme 110 Report post Posted December 24, 2009 I could not do a session without sex. Why? I see the girls for the sex. Most of my close friends are female, so there I get the bonding and friendship. But they don't put out. And since I have no SO either, SPs are my release, as I mentioned in another thread. Please don't judge me.

PJ I am happy that you are seeing the benefits of a non sexual date, agency or not however a worker will be there for your needs....be them sexual or just "hanging out". As per profession however, Think of it this way: I'm assuming you are a carpenter because you like what you do and are good at it. The same goes for escorts. many of the best are skilled conversationalists and can hold a conversation rather than chewing gum...yanno? they can get a giggle and a smile from sometimes the most socially akward person....they devote their time to you and only you...no matter who you are. we love what we do, some were born to be social for hire. its a skill....we dont see it as offering a mechanical service and THEN offering you a relationship experience......(to me anyway) it all falls hand in hand no matter what deed is exchanged. Someone once said that if you loved the outdoors and you decided to open a campsite as a business, you would still charge your camp tenants rental of the space....regardless of your love for your love for nature. Sure you would have to pitch tents and clean up garbage and do all the "work stuff" but it doesnt mean you'd let anyone set foot on your campsite without treating them differently than anyone else at your camp. It just wouldn't make sense if you did. ultimately, if you decided not to charge those with the same interests as you because it "just didn't feel right' your business because they shared your love for a common admiration, would eventually suffer. we all come together because of similar interests here on cerb. some have different interests or requests but in the end of the day everyone is here to respect the boundaries of each other and hopefully fulfill the requests of the respectful. But I should also acknowledge that at some point in the past, somewhere in Canada, she's also received a favourable CERB recco. So CERB is a force for social interaction, for sure. social interaction yes, but I wouldnt say a strong force 'because of recos' being the main point leading to that. I have known many cerb gals who have received favourable recos yet have conducted themselves less than comparative in their postings. Cerb is *not* all about recos IMO.

Jackie James 215 Report post Posted December 29, 2009 I went to one of the MP`s awhile back in the summer I think. I booked a one hour session with one of my favorite ladies in the hot tub. We started talking about this and that and just hung out and chatted for the whole session till the knock on the door came. Now I`m kind of a horndog and love my sex but this was something different for me. I had a wonderful time with her and the sex didn`t matter. I didn`t have a problem with the tip and we both left happy. I`m wondering if this is a common thing that happens in this hobby. This is the first time that I`ve done that. is it because I`m getting old or maybe I`m just lonely. I`m not complaining but am curious as to how many others have done the same thing. I think maybe there`s more to being a service provider than sex. CoolPJ You're so very right and definitely NOT alone in your thinking!
