What I really want to do is work out how to determine a post's unique post-id (ie unique within the board, not just in the thread) so that I can do the same as the 'go to first unread post' links do and have the thing appear in context... Step 1: click on the postcount on top of the post to get your "View Single Post" (as Castle mentioned). Step 2: click on the "Thread" link at the top right-hand side of the "View Single Post" screen Step 3: after the page appears, cut and paste the result from the address bar.
