roamingguy 300292 Report post Posted February 13, 2014 Guys. I can hijack my own thread...I think - are there any rules about that? You're not supposed to hijack my thread - so stop doing it - LOL. Sooo rude!! I don't hijack your threads. Well, maybe I do a little, but not much. The question was: Who do you trust - he or she? Well to start, my mistrust is both he and she (brother, mother, sister in law) But who I trust, well three he's (civilian friends) and one very special she. Someone who when the betrayal by my family took place, shortly thereafter (keep in mind this was probably the lowest point of 2013 and one of the top five low points of my life) she did something which touched me deeply and her continuing friendship still moves me. There, did I un-hijack the thread RG

Lee I bet if you weren't Lee but a he pup instead, even if your master said not to go see the she puppy, you'd visit every day Don't be hard on the poor dog, me thinks your just a tad envious that the he dog can freely visit she dogs, and you just don't have that same unrestricted freedom WOW this thread is now derailed for sure RG
Guest N***he**Ont**y Report post Posted February 13, 2014 Deciding who you can trust and cant trust and sometimes you are wrong. I recently said good bye to a childhood friend of 40 years because he disapproved of my choice of this lifestyle. Yes I told him him of my hobbying in confidence and at first he could tell I was happier for the first time in months. Then the disapproval became more evident as time went by and the excuses began to when I suggested going out for a beer and general hanging out from time to time. Finally all contact stopped between us and I started thinking so what. I have no time for drama and have decided to terminate all contact period.I have moved on and will be happier with out the drama and disapproval. Katherine of Halifax 113932 Report post Posted February 14, 2014 I used to trust every one. I have a keen sense of who I can trust and cannot. In this industry however I have been saddened to find we are talked about weather it be jealousy or a myriad of different reasons. Being male or female doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm pretty fine with that , this is a place that is very competitive and I guess it can be expected. Life is life. How ever I was once what I had considered to be best friends with another lady here. We ate dinner together , shared laughs and sadness's of life. I truly felt we were forever friends and I loved her. Then things became difficult for me for a short time and I was not able to be the friend I wanted to me. I tried to get through this period of my life without complaining as I knew it was short lived. I was dropped from this persons life because I missed one dinner and acted in a way uncharacteristic to me. If she had only asked or perhaps if I had told exactly the hardship I suffered may be things world have turned out differently. I am still very wounded by this but I will not lose faith. I believe if you look hard enough and are lucky there are many people you can trust and my mind remains open that I will get another great relationship here that can preserve time.

Sounds familiar. Happened to me too. Difficult time, uncharacteristic behaviour...relationship over. It's a tough pill to swallow when maybe an open conversation about the hardship might have produced a different result.
