jafo105 39057 Report post Posted February 23, 2014 Today I tried to sync my cell phone with my laptop computer but the computer Bluetooth is not working. I know it used to work - I have used it many times. {I am using a MSI computer with Windows-7. The system is up-to-date.} I can see the icon in the system tray - it is red. I tried to turn it on (green) but I get a pop up message, "Please plug in Bluetooth device and press OK to continue". [Kind of hard to do - it is built in.] I re-booted my computer and tried again - but it still did not work. I went into the Control Panel and everything appears to be fine there. The Bluetooth device is showing installed and working fine. I ran the Troubleshooting program but it said that the Bluetooth device is working fine. Can someone please help me figure this out. Maybe it is time for a new computer :(

jafo105 39057 Report post Posted February 23, 2014 I GOT IT! I forgot about the Bluetooth power button on the side of the computer. Could they have made it any more obvious and easy to find??? Thank you everyone for your suggestions. Cheers :)

Guest S*rca****sid Report post Posted February 23, 2014 I had the same issue with my old laptop. Same thing with the sound, a little volume control on the side of the laptop and also the volume control within Windows. I solved both problems by switching to a Mac.
