qwertyaccount 15793 Report post Posted March 11, 2014 If the statistic is to be believed, it is understandable considering another statistic that Android has over 70% market share. Q. Why do criminals rob banks? A. Because that's where the money is! That is why platforms like Macs enjoy fewer viruses, etc. -- not because they are a superior platform (sorry fanboys) but because they have such a low relative market share, there is little interest in targeting them. Because it is free the Android platform does suffer from device makers using outdated versions, making their own tweaks that can introduce additional issues, etc. No matter the platform, getting the phone carriers to incur the expense of updating and making available corrections is another big hurdle.
