Styler 425 Report post Posted March 20, 2014 To all the hobbyists, Obviously the type of activity involved with this hobby is somewhat risky (of course there are always ways to reduce the risk). Question is from a physical standpoint, besides using a rubber, what are other ways to protect or decrease the risk of attracting a STD/STI? Are there any sprays, ointments, physical barriers, etc... that can be used to lessen transmission risk? Styler

Most reputable providers take great care to ensure that there would never be any unpleasant souvenirs of your time. Really I must say and I am sure I will be echoed here , you stand a much higher chance of contracting a STD my meeting someone downtown. Fact, reputable ladies are tested regularly and are very careful about their sexual health. Personally speaking if you were to visit me with " sprays or ointments " I would not be receptive to this . I'm not sure if any ladies I know would enjoy being sprayed or have ointments rubbed on them. But perhaps there is something out there that I have not yet heard of . But be sure to warn any date if you plan to spray her with anything.
roamingguy 300292 Report post Posted March 20, 2014 Using the search feature on CERB would show there are four pages of threads dealing with STD's/STI's http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/search.php?searchid=3905132 Really the only one hundred percent way to be safe from STD's/STI's is abstinence, well just stick to masturbation Everything else, even a condom, is risk reduction, not elimination, so besides practicing safe sex get yourself tested regularly (me once every two months) and remember, your sexual health is your responsibility RG
jafo105 39057 Report post Posted March 20, 2014 You have a greater chance of getting an STD / STI from a one-night-stand than you do from a professional escort. (But there is always a risk when having sex with another person). I have never hear of any sprays or ointments. That said, Always check with the SP before using such items. The following should be common sense for most people: Good personal hygiene - wash and inspect your privates daily. "Practice makes perfect" - Learn the correct way to put on and take off a condom - Practice, practice, practice - Yes, that means masturbating using condoms. Immediately after sex - remove the condom and wash your hands & genital area. Educate yourself about condoms - Some types of condoms only offer protection from pregnancy. You can still catch a STD / STI using a condom - But the risk is less. Educate yourself on what some of the STD's / STI's look like - Not all are visible. Dental dams may be used to perform oral sex on a woman. Following oral sexy use an antiseptic mouth wash. Get tested regularly. http://www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/byAudience/ForPatientAdvocates/HIVandAIDSActivities/ucm126372.htm With all that in mind. Relax, be a gentleman, treat her like a lady, and have a good time. ;) Still feeling apprehensive - see a Massage Provider. There is no intercourse or oral sex, but you still have a happy ending. ;)
piano8950 32577 Report post Posted March 20, 2014 Some hobbyists stick to MAs and activities that take the possibility of STIs/STDs out of the equation.

Question is from a physical standpoint, besides using a rubber, what are other ways to protect or decrease the risk of attracting a STD/STI? Are there any sprays, ointments, physical barriers, etc... that can be used to lessen transmission risk? Styler I know this thread is directed to the hobbyists so if I may say:)Life is risky! Driving your car, flying, riding a bike, eating food, all we do involves some level of risk and all anyone can do is take all precautions, don't fall prey to paranoia and have fun. To worry isn't a solution and the only way you can be 100% protected is to stay at home, wrapped in bubble wrap, lol. But on a serious note RG stated it best -abstinence is the only 100% safe sex. Any professional sp is going to do his or her utmost in maintaining their health, hence protecting yours. As far as ointments, sprays, I don't think so, but I did post an article about a vaginal ring that's being worked on that's supposed to be able to protect against herpes and hiv. I'm sure when it's fully approved it'll be news worthy and very much in demand. I'd like to also say that it's presumptuous to assume that sp's and hobbyists are at a higher level of risk than people outside this profession. We all take necessary precautions as our bodies/health are our livelihood. It does only take one time to contract something so no matter if your a virgin, sp or a lossy goosy because it's not how many it's which one!
Boomer 33202 Report post Posted March 20, 2014 I think one of the best ways to mitigate the risk is do your research and be selective in who you decide to see. I don't think it's too hard to pick out the ladies who provide a safe and enjoyable time.

Guest Ou**or**n Report post Posted March 20, 2014 Question is from a physical standpoint, besides using a rubber, what are other ways to protect or decrease the risk of attracting a STD/STI? Are there any sprays, ointments, physical barriers, etc... that can be used to lessen transmission risk? The most obvious answer to your question is to participate in as few acts that exchange any fluids or have any fluids contact your body. Thus eliminate any kissing, get only a covered blow job and don't partake in DATY or DATO. If you do want to perform DATY you can always use a dental dam - http://www.sexualityandu.ca/stis-stds/how_do_i_protect_myself_from_stis_stds/dental_dam. For ease of the encounter, communicate these desires in advance so the lady in question understands what to expect. If the idea of risk greatly bothers you then don't do it - you won't enjoy yourself and likely neither will the lady. If you'd truly enjoy yourself with whatever restrictions you wish to have then by all means go for it.

LuxeMulvari 65764 Report post Posted March 21, 2014 There are ladies that only offer SAFE GFE service, meaning we engage in safer sex practices all the time (always use condoms for oral, do not engage in practices which involve contact with semen ex: cim cof ) available if that is what you seek . Just look for "all safe provider" of "safe gfe" in the advertisements.
