Ashley Ann 75247 Report post Posted March 18, 2011 When I was a kid, my mom had a movie called Whore. It was the first movie I have ever seen about this line of work. It is really good. I do not know if you can find it on dvd. You can definitely find it at some obscure video places, lol. The video store on Denman in Vancouver had one. It is a movie about a woman street walker. The whole movie, just follows around this one woman as she is trying to leave her pimp. The woman is not on drugs and is beautiful, which is also a reality with a lot of street walkers. She does a date in the back seat of a car with an old man. She has such a bored look on her face, as she is bouncing up and down on top of him, lol. It is a really good movie about the less glamorous side of the sex trade. Theresa Russell was the actress who played the "whore", I believe it came out in 1991. I seen it too! One of the first movies I seen was one of those made for TV movies....The mayflower madam...Candice Bergen played the madam....I remember thinking WOW..fur coats, flying in private jets and and all of that money.....as an 8 year old, it seemed so amazing....The other was another TV movie, Loni Anderson played a high class hooker...in the movie she married her #1 regular and lived happily every after... veronikahouse 210 Report post Posted March 18, 2011 Classic chessy Burt Reynolds/Dolly Parton movie. Some good music, some comic relief with Dom DeLuise as the preacher bent on closing the brothel...one of the first movies I saw regarding the business. Circa 1982 but worth a viewing if you like any of the main characters. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083642/

Touch 57501 Report post Posted March 19, 2011 I am not sure where you you can see this but I found it astonishing: The Great Happiness Space: Tale of an Osaka Love Thief (2006) It is about young Japanese male escorts in training; their clients are young female sextrade workers who, for the most part, are at the very least as interesting as the young male escorts. A sort of "upside-down view" of the traditional escort world. I watched it on the Internet but didn't have time to try to find a link. Mesmerizing and astonishing! rick_falcon 911 Report post Posted March 30, 2011 A little different as it evolves around a strip club, but I liked the movie 'Exotica' by Atom Egoyan. He is a different kind of producer, with serious movies. And as Nicolette stated above, the movie 'Valerie' is a classic in Quebec. It was the first movie with nudity because she see the boobs of the main actress. At that time, it was scandalous...
nntsci 11076 Report post Posted August 4, 2016 I did love Leaving Las Vegas, but it struck me as sad that he find a woman who cares about him, but doesn't change his mind as he proceeds to commit suicide by alcohol.
