Soleil Sublime 38108 Report post Posted February 26, 2010 I have to use a mountain crystal after shaving with sensitive skin gel and Schick 4 blade razors because I'm so prone to ingrown hairs. It seems to help a lot but I'm seriously contemplating getting the whole area just lasered away and be done with it. But it's like $200 a pop and you need to go between 6 and 8 times! Meg O'Ryan 266444 Report post Posted February 26, 2010 Wow...that's expensive! I hear it doesn't work well on lighter coloured hair, is this true? (Thanks for the advice on the shaving!)
TracieGold 282 Report post Posted February 26, 2010 The best thing for me was to get one of those little "bikini razors" They are great and easy to handle in delicate areas. Plus no-ingrown hairs ever Soleil. Try it; some of my clients use the same thing and it leaves their skin soft as baby skin! Tracie:rolleyes:
Kate von Katz 49953 Report post Posted February 26, 2010 If I don't wax (which isn't all that bad and makes you SUPER smooth for a few weeks) I use a four bladed razor and slather on the hair conditioner. This both softens the hair and leaves my skin softer than any shave gel I've encountered.
Guest S**a*Q Report post Posted February 26, 2010 I use the four bladed ones as well, I think it's the Quattro blades or something... I also use hair conditioner to shave with, it's cheaper and I think it works better. Anything to cut costs of shaving works for me :D
whatsup 11893 Report post Posted February 26, 2010 I use a Gillette M3 and thanks for the hair conditioner trick, I think I will give it a go.
jerican 657 Report post Posted February 27, 2010 I use the Shtick Quattro and Nivea for Men sensitive skin shaving gel (seems appropriate! LOL). Smooth as silk!
EmilyRushton 253372 Report post Posted February 27, 2010 Wax, after the first time it does not hurt as much and the smoothness lasts for weeks.
Guest C****** K***e Report post Posted February 27, 2010 I actually use the Gillette Fusion razors. I will have to try the hair conditioner trick, although I like to put vaseline intensive care lotion on after, or some other super crazy strong lotion. capitalman 3861 Report post Posted February 27, 2010 Razors can be damn expensive.......I saw an infomercial for some contraption that will sharpen disposable razors..anyone see that? I use a Gillette Sensor. Electrics give me a rash. It's gotta be a sharp fresh one or it will hurt the boys, if you know what I mean. Ahhh...nothing like being smooth eh? What's a Mountain Crystal? E.D. man 691 Report post Posted February 27, 2010 I like to shave my package every once in awhile and if I know I'm going to have sex I'll try and shave it, but the ladies shaving my package is a turn on!
NotchJohnson 214123 Report post Posted February 27, 2010 It's a product by WET and will shave you rash free, 1 is for women and the other for men. I also use to take silicone base lubricant it makes it very smooth but was harder on the blades. My preference is INTTIMO by WET I even use it to shave my head in the summer time.:butt:
Kathryn Bardot 99339 Report post Posted February 27, 2010 I used to wax, but it seriously irritated my skin. I use an epilator [best purchase EVER] and a Quattro for the more delicate areas.
Jabba 18389 Report post Posted February 27, 2010 I prefer to go au naturel - drives me crazy when the hair grows back. AAARRRRGGHHH!!! What about using a depilatory like Nair and then a razor?

Guest W***ledi*Time Report post Posted February 28, 2010 Not to hijack the post but for the guys, while shaving down there is staightforward for the most part, how do you do your balls, it seems a little more complicated area to shaveThanks RG RG, one way: First, trim the hair short with scissors. Be careful, pay attention to what you're cutting! Then use your favourite razor (I'm a disposable-razor barbarian myself, but I'm not proud of it). Stretch the skin taut. Be careful, be gentle! Shave first with the grain, then finish by shaving against the grain. Pull everything up towards your stomach to get underneath. Feel the skin and redo anywhere you've missed. The tricks: stretch and pull the skin whichever way works, and don't get over-enthusiastic. Razor-burn is ... uncomfortable.
Dorinda Bloom 44036 Report post Posted February 28, 2010 My beef with waxing is waiting for the little hairs to grow out!! I don't like the way it looks and I'm super impatient!! So I shave. This also has its downfalls as we all know but I consider them the lesser of the "evils". One of my chosen methods of combating the itchy ingrowns is to use an exfoliant called PFB Vanish. You roll it on the site after hair removal (be it shaving, waxing, etc.). It's great for the fellas too; I have a friend who gets terrible razor burn and bumps on his neck from shaving - uses the product and voila! When actually shaving said area I use polysporin. It is SO moisturizing and its antibiotic properties helps to fight germs that can infect the area. It is especially helpful for us working ladies who want to have extra protection! I tried this method after reading that Jenna Jameson recommended it in her book "How To Make Love Like A Pornstar". There are a few other things in there that I do too....but you'd have to make a special appointment for that! lol ;)

Kyra.Graves 23779 Report post Posted February 28, 2010 I am wondering what method of shaving (down there) you prefer, electric razor or traditional. I would also like to know which brand of either you prefer! Thanks everyone! I prefer to shave, as was previously mentioned I don't like to wait for the regrowth that is necessary for waxing. This is my current razor of choice... It's fairly small and maneuverable which matters in those tight corners. ;) I don't always use shaving cream, probably should but I have fairly fine hair and pretty good skin. I also use a couple of exfoiliants depending on the areas which prevents any ingrown hairs, so I haven't had any issues in years. I use Lush Sandstone Soap on the more coarse areas and Angels on Bareskin on any more delicate areas. http://www.lush.ca/shop/products/bath-shower/soap/sandstone- http://www.lush.ca/shop/products/face/cleansers/angels-on-bare-skin
