Warped88 5815 Report post Posted May 5, 2014 So, I'm going through some career changes, and while I'm uncertain where they'll lead, a little entrepreneurial (damn, I had to look up the spelling on that one) spirit is taking hold. With that said: Is there a professional service, online or otherwise, that you wished existed or could be improved upon if already existing? Anything at all... I am an amateur photographer and considering that, but since I've only been landscape/pets/still life up to this point, I have some boudoir/portrait experience to get before that becomes viable. Anyway, I'm just interested in any ideas you may have from your perspective. Nothing it too big or too small. PM me if you'd prefer. Hopefully it's OK to post something like this, If not I guess the MOD will take care of it. :) Thanks...

Studio 110 by Sophia 150333 Report post Posted May 5, 2014 Hard to say what is best for you. If you are thinking on photography, you will be wise to start advertising say on kijji first to build your experience and to see if there are enough interest in all area's of photography. I say this because, if you are looking to only have escort boudoir clients, it will be far and few in between. From a finance point, it will be a hard go if only advertising for escort boudoir. As in any business the more versatile you are, the better your business can grow. Also, try to submit some pics into contest and or galleries, so that when people are enquiring and booking you, you can have some credentials to offer to the table. This is will set you into a professional category rather then just " another dude with a camera" . Would love to see you do this and succeed! Lord knows, it is hard to find a good and open minded photographer!
Warped88 5815 Report post Posted May 5, 2014 Thanks, Sophia. :) Absolutely, if it was photography, It would need to be a wide range of services to the public. In the best of times, it's a tough business. One of the reasons I didn't pursue it to begin with and kept it as a hobby at the time. I'm considering a handful of things that have nothing to do with this industry of course, but was also interested to hear if there's something lacking that providers were really looking for. 7Eris 180 Report post Posted May 5, 2014 I would have to say my #1 wish for a professional service for providers would be security - as in I would be able to bring along a trusted bodyguard to keeps tabs on me in case an appointment went sour. I have been in a couple of situations with otherwise vouched-for hobbyists that were a little too uncomfortable for my taste, and I would have loved to have been able to hit that panic button to protect myself, especially given that I am rather petite and unfortunately have been raped in the past (not by a hobbyist). Of course these situations were before I became experienced at what I do, and of the mind to get pepper spray, but having a discreet bodyguard would put my mind at ease during a date. Of course, it might just be wishful thinking... My other need would to have someone take calls for me as I am hearing impaired, but then again I would hope emails, vouchers, and recommendations would suffice.
Midnite-Energies 110563 Report post Posted May 5, 2014 Honestly, if you're looking to do something on your own make a list of your passions, hobbies and interests. Doesn't matter how big or small, write them all down. Once you have that list, see what you might be able to roll into a business. The important thing here is to be passionate and honest about what you love. Examples include people who love dogs and ended up owning a bunch of animal spas, daycare or grooming business. Someone who loves food could open a wagon, a restaurant, be a critic, be a buyer or offer food prep services to others. There are so many viable options but only one YOU. Good Luck!
CristyCurves 169032 Report post Posted May 5, 2014 I wish there were those one could hire to give animal abusers their just deserved. I would also like a personal concierge for sp's. Delivery for anything at anytime That's all I can think of at the moment:)

Someone who loves food could open a wagon, a restaurant, be a critic, be a buyer or offer food prep services to others. When I read that, right away I laughed and thought about Chef Robert Irving (Restaurant impossible) and Chef Gordon Ramsay (Kitchen nightmares); both would strongly disagree with you and call you some sort of spicy and not-so-pretty names lol If you watch the shows, you'll know what I'm talking about and why I am laughing ;) I apologise for the highjack.
