peacectryguy 12547 Report post Posted May 29, 2014 A wonderful lady who will be missed by all. She really enabled all women to feel good about themselves and happy with what they have . She made us all realize that the inner self is much more important than the outer shell. I will miss her words and wisdom. Rest in peace, Dr. Angelou.:(
Ice4fun 78407 Report post Posted May 29, 2014 A wonderful role model for all of us... she took the challenges life placed in front of her and overcame them to show that we can in fact be a positive impact in our world and that our problems do not define us. I wish I had half her strength of character.

Liv Waters 52361 Report post Posted May 29, 2014 I remember when my father put her book "I know why the caged bird sings" in my nine year old hands, and how transformed I was by it. Dr. Angelou lives on in many of us.
