Phaedrus 209521 Report post Posted June 11, 2014 I've been inspired by this bill the Government has produced, and by the amount of respect they've shown for sex workers and for the Supreme Court. I think it's only appropriate so respond in a manner that reflects equal respect for the Government and for their abolitionist cheerleaders. I think the best way to do this would be to find an old church, buy it, and convert it into a brothel... and to do all this in the blaze of as much publicity as possible. Who's in? (And really, I'm only half-joking. I don't actually have either the money or the balls to kick off that big a shitstorm, but I really wish I did.)
roamingguy 300292 Report post Posted June 11, 2014 I was thinking of not just voting Conservative in the next federal election, but joining the Conservative Party too And sending PM a thank you card for enlightening me as to how evil and perverted a man I really have been. I may not buy a church, but maybe I should start going to church. But those in Ottawa could move to Chapel Hill RG (a pervert)

daredevil8888 407 Report post Posted July 17, 2014 Adoseofbuckley on YouTube had a way around the old And new law. If we buy a bottle of water during the encounter then what have you really paid for? I have been thinking that the receipt should be very complex think cable/hydro bill style. I am not sure if would stand in court but it could make it less clear. I'm getting fucking pissed off with Canada. It seems that Canada is pro-every-lifestyle except for one: a heterosexual man who chooses not to enter relationships, chooses not to hit bars and pick up (and even that's a dangerous game, for if she's drinking she can easily claim 'unable to consent' afterwards and then you're up shit's creek), chooses not to date, but still desires an occasional hot fuck and is willing to pay an equally willing partner. WTF!? Horny heterosexual noncommittal men have rights too! GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!
Genevieve Marceau 68000 Report post Posted July 20, 2014 In regards to the 2015 elections, I am seriously considering giving a very generous discount to clients voting against Conservatives and providing me with a proof that they actually did. The rules would be: In order to obtain a 50% discount, take a pictures with your ID besides the election card - where I can see that you did not vote for these Nazis - and book a rendezvous within the next two weeks after the election day to get your discount. I cannot think of a better way to motivate the Canadian people to get off their ass and go vote.

It's a great idea... but... all cell phones, especially ones that are equipped with cameras (99.9% of current cell phones) must be turned off in the ballot area.

True but how would anyone but Genevieve and the voter know? And once in the ballot box, which ballot gets removed Don't consider it illegal, consider it civil disobedience...well civil disobedience with a happy ending LOL RG

Old Dog 179138 Report post Posted July 21, 2014 Inducement or not, Genevieve does bring up an amazing point. VOTE. VOTE. VOTE. I had a conversation with a provider just last weekend, and she claimed that she was sick and tired of the way that the current government was ruining her life. I asked her how she voted in the last federal election, knowing that she was of legal age at the time of the last ballot. She claimed that she did not vote, that she thought it was stupid. I retorted that if that was the case, she had absolutely NO RIGHT TO COMPLAIN. If you don't cast a ballot, you can't bitch about what we get as a government. You obviously don't care. If you did care, you would do your damndest to get a government that cares about your needs. It's 15 months until October 2015, BUT.... we have the power to begin the end of this government. Find a local politician representing your views. Support them. Canvas for them. Fund parties other than the CPC. Talk to friends and colleagues about the disgust you have for the current government. Bill C36 is just one of the countless ways that the current government has disregarded the opinions and desires of the Canadian public. Research their legacy. It's BAD. In Ottawa alone they are responsible for the loss of well over 20,000 well paid jobs. They wanted to abolish the senate but filled it with their corrupt friends. They turned the cyber bullying legislation into a way to spy on EVERY ONE OF US. Joy Smith wants you to have to contact the internet companies to opt into porn. That's evangelical censorship. I am sure that you could find countless other fuck ups by the current government... from fighter jets to foreign workers, senate scandals to supreme court stacking... this is just a BAD GOVERNMENT. Sign up and support the other parties now to end the tyranny!

Nicolette Vaughn 294340 Report post Posted July 28, 2014 It's amusing to see how Peter Mackay makes himself look like such a douchebag for lack of better words with this bill and such contradictions in what he has proposed.. The Cons have shot themselves in the foot with this issue but time and time again, Harper's attitude is to just plead ignorance as always or as I'm sure we've all heard out of his mouth.. " I've had no knowledge of that." I know I've seen this type of statement quoted in the papers on more than one ocassion. Just wait and see how much these new laws will negatively impact the lives of people they don't even bother to address let alone acknowledge that they exist. You'll never EVER get my vote douchebag Cons! And as a result, the thoughts of retiring come to mind. If I can't work safely then what is the point? Moral legislation at its finest. They might as well call themselves right wing Republicans!

I am an unattached widower who doesn't go to bars and has no interest at this point in being in a committed relationship. I fully enjoy my encounters and what happens behind closed doors is nobody's business. I would love to see some motherfucker charge me because I do have the means to take this all the way and I am not/not afraid of going public about it either. mrgreen760 37785 Report post Posted July 28, 2014 Neither the NDP or the Libs have stepped in any big way up on this issue at all. It would seem their handlers/advisors see no big political win here. Peace MG
