PistolPete 61421 Report post Posted March 24, 2010 West enders, the commute really is not far away, pending of traffic/time of day. You could make down there less than 30 minutes. I've already been there a couple of times :) I must say things are looking pretty good for us east-enders. :)
Andee 220524 Report post Posted March 25, 2010 I live in Chapel Hill, off of Orleans Blvd. between Innes and Jeanne D'arc. I have driven it and timed it several times (not during rush hour of course) and it takes approx. 15 minutes from the the Nicholas On-ramp on the 417 to my place via Hwy 417 (Innes Rd. exit) or Hwy 174 (Jeanne D'arc exit). If traffic is good, it's another 7 minutes up to 10th line - so there is no excuse for you downtown and west-end guys to miss out on us east end girls! We're not talking from Etobicoke to Scarborough here - this is Ottawa not Toronto! LOL

We're not talking from Etobicoke to Scarborough here - this is Ottawa not Toronto! LOL I often see clients east just outside of downtown and they always seem to have a problem with leaving downtown. Downtown Ottawa is not the center of the universe. Plus where I do see clients, it is accessible off the highway and free parking. Try getting that downtown. I don't like going down there because it is often a pain in the ass and when I did work there, I'd still get the same hassle from guys who weren't familiar with that area or worked/lived elsewhere. So now I try to make it easier on people and I'm still getting the same old answer "No, that is too far away from my work." 10 minutes to get to an incall from outside downtown should not a big deal and if you're going to book with an SP then you have to book that time away from work anyways. And yes Ottawa is not Toronto by any stretch. This is one of the reasons why you no longer see me advertising because this is the issue I am always confronted with. And if you don't like where an SP is located do not ask her to make exceptions to go elsewhere in the city. End of rant.
rickoshadows 937 Report post Posted March 28, 2010 Because I work downtown, I don't have car available to me during the day. So if you aren't within a 10 minute walk or along a frquent bus route, you may as well be at Smith Falls I'm sure thta for those guys who would have to drive into town and park, it is not worth the hassle to find a place to park and then still have to walk some distance to a location. I would bet that is the reason that you will never be able to please both downtowners and those who work where they have free parking. So to accuse one group or the other of being lazy doesn't serve any purpose, other than display a lack of awareness of your clients reality.

So to accuse one group or the other of being lazy doesn't serve any purpose, other than display a lack of awareness of your clients reality. Further to what Alexa was talking about, there seems to be this mentality that if you have to take more than 15 minutes to get somewhere it's "too far". Downtown, with traffic and parking, I can understand and vice versa you are downtown with no car. But I hear this all the times from girls in Westboro, Bayshore, Hunt Club and Riverside area as well. In your case, I can understand why you wouldn't be able to come out to Orleans. But there are also guys in the east end and Orleans who come to see me because they don't have a lot of time (e.g. lunch hour) and they don't want the hassle of going downtown or west because of time constraints or parking, so they like it that I'm in the east. But I do have clients that come from Kanata and Barrhaven as well. I guess if they want to see me bad enough, they'll make the hike if they have the time. To add to what you're saying which I agree with, it's the "complaining" we get from clients who aren't willing to bend. I had someone call who told me he worked the NRC at Montreal Road and Ogilvie and said he thought I was too far until I explained to him that all he had to do was simply drive east down Montreal Road which turns into St. Joseph, up Forest Valley and and a left on Orleans takes 10 minutes tops with no traffic. He said he'd check it out. Now he's a regular. But for those ones we refer to as being 'lazy' - what do they want - an SP right at every intersection? E.D. man 691 Report post Posted March 28, 2010 There SP's everywhere in the city! Nort-soth-West-eastLike angrla said. there are different types and sizes too. I stay in the east end to downtown, because thats whats easy for me. There are atleast 2 SP's near me within a $10 cab ride or 30 min walk. But thats me theres no need for put downs to anyone. everyone has an inner beauty somewher!
trucido peritus lingua 2699 Report post Posted March 28, 2010 Like others, I work downtown and do not want the car. Planned evening activites limit me to incalls during the daytime, which I really like. I agree with Angela, it is the complaining that is tiresome. If you do not like her location, suck it up and move on. I generally send a polite e-mail asking the major intersection nearest to the location. If it is beyond where I am willing to travel, a simple thank you for her time responding and that I will keep her in mind should I find myself in that area in the future. Our opinions are formulated on our experiences. I rarely go out of my way anymore having experienced no shows. Upset during those times, I simply moved on. Life is too short to spend it complaining. Thank-you but I am aware of a client's reality and was never accusing them of being lazy otherwise I don't think I would have lasted in this business. At the end of the day they should not be dictating where an escort's incall location should be. If a guy is really keen on seeing a certain SP, he will make the trip. If not, there are other escorts in their area. I have catered to many people by being downtown and it worked for a while for both myself and clients and there are times that I would go downtown just not all the time. I did not have a regular incall location for quite a while so was more difficult for me. The biggest issue I had was a few people telling me ( esp people I was already acquainted with) where I should stay or to make exceptions for them. They didn't like a certain hotel because it wasn't to their standard or because they knew someone who worked close to there. Sorry it doesn't work like that. Hotels are not cheap especially the nice ones so I have to plan accordingly. If I had to do it all over again, I would pick one day downtown and one day elsewhere. I was not a high volume escort so this would have probably worked for everyone.

[1] yes I meant gift, as in above and beyond the normal compensation.
Nicolette Vaughn 294340 Report post Posted March 29, 2010 Or they can 'gift' you the hotel stay [1]. [1] yes I meant gift, as in above and beyond the normal compensation. LOL. That would probably never happen but it would be sweet. I understand other people's circumstances and daily routines. I have one too but it is not so much those who ask where I'm located and then say no because no harm has been done by asking. It is those who complain or expect me to go beyond my schedule or circumstances that really gets to me. Perhaps they think because they already know me that I am willing to go above and beyond. In reality it becomes difficult and not worth my time or where I do not break even on an appt especially since I may only see 2 clients a month because I have another obligations that no longer allows me to see clients on a regular basis. Then it is a problem for sure and usually I will not see these people anymore.
Andee 220524 Report post Posted March 30, 2010 I'm thinking of providing a new service. I will fly my helicopter to wherever you are, pick you up and drop you off when we're done. That way you don't have to worry about commuting by bus or car and finding parking, etc.
Nicolette Vaughn 294340 Report post Posted March 30, 2010 I actually heard about an escort in the U.S. who actually owned a newer looking limo and would pick up clients at a certain destination and they'd have a rendezvous with champagne in there while driving around town. I wonder what the legalities would be for that type of thing considering it wouldn't be considered a bawdy house and wouldn't be like making out in a parking lot where a cop could creep up on you since the windows would be tinted. It sounded like an interesting concept. lol.

I wonder what the legalities would be for that type of thing considering it wouldn't be considered a bawdy house and wouldn't be like making out in a parking lot where a cop could creep up on you since the windows would be tinted. It sounded like an interesting concept. lol. Being easily amused by such things, I find this an interesting question. I sure as heck don't know the technical answer to all the ramifications of this. Does anyone know anything futher about this interesting point? You might keep in mind that under section 213 of the Criminal Code (the "communication for the purpose of prostitution" section), the definition of "Public Place" includes "any motor vehicle located in a public place or in any place open to public view". Under section 197: " 'common bawdy-house' means a place that is (a) kept or occupied, or (b) resorted to by one or more persons for the purpose of prostitution or the practice of acts of indecency ..." For the purposes of section 213, a motor vehicle is considered to be a public place. A motor vehicle is explicitly defined to be a "place" in certain other sections of the Criminal Code (Section 98, break & enter to steal a firearm; Section 244, discharging a firearm, for instance); but a motor vehicle is left out of the definition of "place" in others (Section 348, break & enter). It certainly fits some of the dictionary definitions, but the Criminal Code definition of "place" in Section 197 itself does not specifically address the motor vehicle issue one way or another. If a motor vehicle is a place, then the limo would not seem to escape being defined as a common bawdy house. Also, under section 211, "Every one who knowingly takes, transports, directs, or offers to take, transport or direct, any other person to a common bawdy-house is guilty of an offence ..." So if you go back to an incall location afterwards, this section is another that you might keep in mind. It'd be interesting to know the full answer.
