wendigo 687 Report post Posted April 6, 2010 Hopefully this is the right place to post this... I'm attending a semi-formal event this coming Saturday, but unfortunately my original and backup dates both canceled on me. Given the above circumstances, I'm just wondering whether any providers would be willing and/or able to attend with me. What I'm looking for: a smart and beautiful companion to accompany me on Saturday, April 10 from approximately 9 PM to 1 AM. Dress is semi-formal so you'll need to have something appropriate in your wardrobe. Stimulating conversational skills are a definite asset in this professional engagement. Transportation to and from the event can be arranged. Of course, I intend to compensate my companion for her time. However, I should note that this will be a purely "public" event, so anybody interested in attending should contact me with what she considers appropriate remuneration for her company that evening. I should note that I'm not intending to book any "private" time that night, but in the unlikely event that things go in that direction I'm perfectly happy to compensate you at your full rate. Thanks for reading and PM me if you're interested!
Annessa 22743 Report post Posted April 6, 2010 you may want to give a few more details as per the type of event and the age range of yourself and the event-goers. may ladies in a public setting would rather not seem like they were hired if they were too old or too young for the event. Aside from that perhaps go into a teeny bit of detail as to what kind of formal event this is. ie. is it a high-school reunion dance or is it an awards ceremony-type thing or a wedding etc etc etc, As everyone in this business should have great conversation skills but if the conversation has to be very specific you should let any interested ladies know
wendigo 687 Report post Posted April 6, 2010 Thanks to all those who have replied to me so far, some more details are in order as pointed out to me by a few people. The event is a fundraising gala, dress is black tie optional and I expect that most women's attire will be lbd's/cocktail dresses. The attendees will be mostly young professionals, no industry-specific conversation skills are required, although a basic cover story may be arranged in advance in the likely event that I run into friends or acquaintances. I should note that the event is a rather large one and is open to the public, so if you have any concerns about being seen in public this might not be the best engagement for you. Ideally, I'm looking for someone in her mid-20's to early-30's, with a slim/petite build. I'm seeking a companion so I don't have to attend this event alone, and the desired conversation skills are mostly for my benefit. As always, discretion is of the utmost importance.
