Lexy Grace 103697 Report post Posted July 14, 2011 Gifts or tips are never expected but always appreciated. If a gentleman reads my website they will know what I like. It was a first meeting and I received a single beautiful colour rose the other day and the gentleman's words were "It's all said with a single rose" he did not have to explain and it is on my work desk thriving and beautiful as ever. Malika Fantasy 144625 Report post Posted July 14, 2011 As every SP say...they are appreciated but not expected...but I have receive some gifts that just made me jump and become all giggly( and people know I can giggle loudly;)). I would personally say at a first visit to bring a tip or a gift card, as even if a lady state that she love books per say and you bring a book that you think she may enjoy. Let's say you bring a book from Tolstoi and that she hate Russia...what will she do? Say sorry this isn't my kind of book? And you will see her I am pretty sure, you will want to talk about the book...and she will look at you shyly and say she doesn't like political history...Unless it's a really neutral book, I would say avoid bringing book on a first time meeting. Same go with chocolate and flowers...I personally enjoy chocolate a lot but I am on a diet...so I can't have some and I feel bad refusing it... SO...Tip and gift cards (especially from neutral store, like chapters, HMV etc...as for clothes and lingeries, if the lady is a plus size they don't always carry bra that will fit everyone...for exemple La Senza don't carry 40E) are always a good beat:)
roamingguy 300292 Report post Posted July 14, 2011 I know when it comes to the refreshment side of the encounter, I always ask the lady before we meet if she wants anything in particular, (ie, wine, and whether red or white etc) I'll also have on hand some fruit juices and water, and if she requests it, soda pop. And definitely, keep everything sealed, and only opened in front of her. (this is for outcalls to my hotel btw) But I read the ladies websites (even ladies I haven't met yet), not to mention their posts to get an idea of what they would like for a gift. And a tip is provided for the lady too, just a token of appreciation RG

Your suggestions are great and I think most ladies would be very happy to be given a tip or gift. Showing up is the best gift but a tip or gift does make us feel appreciated and that the person we are seeing actually put some thought in to making the lady feel good and happy, before the "fun" in my opinion. Nicolette Vaughn 294340 Report post Posted July 16, 2011 I never expect anything but it's always nice. This thread reminds me of when I was cleaning out a bathroom drawer yesterday and found a bodyspray that a client had given me a few years ago in Toronto. It wasn't anything expensive ( was from Bath & Bodyworks) but I always kept it for some reason. Perhaps because we shared some good times together. It wasn't until i realized the pump in the bottle was broken that I couldn't use it anymore and not much spray left so I threw it away. I like when clients give me things like this. It's a nice gesture.

Guest S**a*Q Report post Posted July 18, 2011 I had a great guy bring me a HUGE bag of Kicking Horse Coffee :) Perfect caffeinated gift for me! No candies, no chocolates, no sweets... I gotta watch my figure from now on :(
mrrnice2 157005 Report post Posted July 18, 2011 I am certain that there are a wide variety of approaches to how this is handled. I generally bring along a little something, and it tends to vary from person to person. Being a PEI person sometimes a "something" from PEI makes me feel like an ambassador. Wonder if I can get a provincial grant under tourism. :) I have brought roses, and wines, but perhaps the one thing that I most enjoy is when the women have indicated a charity or an organization that they support. I brought along a small donation for POWER when I visited Ottawa and another lady that I met supports families each year at Christmas time. That is a favorite little gift to bring along. Nicolette Vaughn 294340 Report post Posted July 19, 2011 I always used to get a little box of 4 Lady Godiva chocolates which was just right until I ended up with 7 or 8 boxes in my hotel room over the course of one week. Sadly to say, no more chocolates for me. :( It's my weakness. Out of sight, out of mind. Although, I do enjoy receiving scented body wash since I am always running out. It's perfect for when I take a nice hot shower, lather it all over my chest... well, you get the picture.

roamingguy 300292 Report post Posted July 19, 2011 it hit me!!! Would a john even be concerned about a gift or tip if seeing an escort. Sorry, the John Next Door thread is in my head That treats and gifts for an SP is a topic for discussion shows how most of the gentleman regard the ladies, with respect. And they want ideas on providing a little something more than just the donation. I'm sure Melissa Farley doesn't even have a clue that there is such respect among ladies and gentlemen, and this is a mutually beneficial activity. Sorry to intersperse this thought, but like I said, it hit me And I wasn't sure which thread to put it in Carry on with the discussion RG
Lexy Grace 103697 Report post Posted July 19, 2011 (edited) I have a wishlist to give an idea of some of the things I like if someone is looking for an idea. I love anything Vanilla Only and no other scent for body washes, body butter and light mist body sprays. I just love flowers, when you get flowers it makes the encounter even more of a date. Like when a guy picks you up for dinner and brings you flowers. Orchids are my favorite but a nice rose whether it's a single or bouquet is very thoughtful or a variety of beautiful flowers is nice. I love purple, pink, blue and a bit of green with some babies breathe. Additional Comments: I know when it comes to the refreshment side of the encounter, I always ask the lady before we meet if she wants anything in particular, (ie, wine, and whether red or white etc) I'll also have on hand some fruit juices and water, and if she requests it, soda pop. And definitely, keep everything sealed, and only opened in front of her. And a tip is provided for the lady too, just a token of appreciation RG It just goes to show how times have changed the gentlemen value us SP's as people and our encounters and how special these encounters are. jafo105 39057 Report post Posted July 19, 2011 I do not do this for a first date but will do it for a second date or special occasion. One Red roses symbolize love and passion One Pink roses symbolize friendship One Yellow roses symbolize respect One White roses symbolize purity With some baby's breath This seems to work out well. I am always asked back. If I do not contact them they contact me, again and again. Cheers, Jafo
lipualipua 4704 Report post Posted July 22, 2011 What about cash? Since cash is a universal medium of exchange, I prefer giving it as gift. In this way, the lady can, outright, buy what she likes best or can add her own cash to it and buy a pricier item she likes.
roamingguy 300292 Report post Posted July 22, 2011 What about cash? Since cash is a universal medium of exchange, I prefer giving it as gift. In this way, the lady can, outright, buy what she likes best or can add her own cash to it and buy a pricier item she likes. For me, and speaking only for me, I like to give a gift and tip. Only in one case was the gift cash (I thought in this one case the money could be more useful than a gift card) But I think at the end of the day, it is the thought most of all that counts RG
RobX 2084 Report post Posted December 21, 2011 Here are some holiday gift suggestions: "Being Nice to the Professionally Naughty: Holiday Gifts for Sex Workers" - http://titsandsass.com/?p=6886
Nicolette Vaughn 294340 Report post Posted May 2, 2012 I usually don't receive a lot of gifts and that's fine but if you are going to give a gift to the SP, please think with sensibility and etiquette related to the SP/hobbying world. Some people try to be humourous and it usually blows up in their face. Even though gifts aren't expected or required yet always appreciated, just go with what you know. The more mainstream, the better. Think chocolate or gift card. I recently read an escort's blog on the internet ( I like reading escort blogs because they're interesting) and was horrified to find out that she was given this as a gift and the client made sure to throw in the smartass comment with the gift like "Don't say I didn't give you anything." Not only is it tacky but it's rude and disrespectful. Had someone given this to me, the appt would be over before it began. They would be tossed out on their ass in a New York minute baby. If you scroll down to the picture of the plush toy, it looks just like that... a plush toy. Now if you click on the link below, you will understand what I meant by the above comment from someone who thought they were being "cute" but in reality they were just an ass. Tacky, tacky, tacky imo. http://www.amazon.com/Giant-Microbes-Gm0150-Clap-Plush/dp/B000JZ08US/ref=sr_1_52?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1335933326&sr=1-52
DukeSSk 3430 Report post Posted May 18, 2012 I think a gift is a great idea after you've built a decent working relationship with a SP. I would never offer alcohol during a first encounter; it would set off red flags for her I would think.
