rykky 1164 Report post Posted October 16, 2014 Been seeing quite a few requests for verification in replies from Craigslist. Has anyone gone through this process? Is it legit? My gut feeling is it is some type of scam?
tbayguy1985 261 Report post Posted October 16, 2014 Are these the same verification sites that require a credit card or monthly payment? Typically, those are scams. Same with the ones who ask for a money transfer before meeting. I wouldn't trust those either.
Guest D***el B***e Report post Posted October 16, 2014 They could possibly be making reference to something like preferred411 where, you, as a customer is pre-screened. This gives a higher level of assurance to the lady that you are a safe bet. If you know more about this, feel free to chime in.
Guest R****-d Report post Posted October 16, 2014 I personally ask for name, number and the odd time I will ask for some sort of info just for my own safety. Some gentlemen are not very nice and I've been attacked before. I would not trust if they're asking for money but if they are just asking for name and number type thing it would be for more of a safety reason. Hope I helped! rykky 1164 Report post Posted October 20, 2014 Thanks for the input. These are the type that ask for a credit card. I am happy to make contact with the ladies giving a phone number and name but not a credit card. Thanks to all.
Madison_Sparks 3740 Report post Posted October 23, 2014 Another option i use is a service that I pay for out of pocket (no expense to client) with full name and phone number I can do a background check on all clients. its the internet.......... no one is truly "anonymous" I am thinking of getting this service again. Also due to a high amount of "no shows" I have been thinking of doing deposit bookings for clients that make their way to the "no show" list I can say for a few of us girls nothing makes us happier than sharing mutual pleasure with any and all of you. But our safety and our time is important to us. There has been 2 murders of sex worker here in thunder bay in last 2 years. for such a small population this worries me. Sry to be a buzz kill if I am doing so, but screening is important. Any truly professional SP should delete any personal information of any client after the booking is done and all has gone well. But until then..... if I can't send the cops to arrest someone who tries to harm me or worst case leave a paper trail to my murder..... I won't book with you. I hope this helps you guys/girls to understand why some girls do this. but I would not give out a credit card either. smart move. if what they need is a background check....... pay for the service and claim it as an expense on your taxes. yes legal escorts pay taxes. hair cut? write off make up? write off shoes?....... you see where this is going ;)
