Greeting Ottawa Sex Workers,

 

It's that time of the month again (lol) and POWER is having its monthly sex worker social. For those of you who don't know, POWER is the sex worker's rights movement in Ottawa. Members are comprised of current/former sex workers of all sectors and we support a person's right to sell sexual services free from harrassment, criminalization, judgment, etc.

 

May's social will be held Tuesday May 11th from 7-9pm at a local restaurant. This restaurant is also a bar, so if you just want to come for a drink, that is perfectly fine! The location is in Chinatown and is accessible by buses 85 and 2. The social is very informal. We can chat about our work, personal things, whatever!

 

Please PM me for the super-secret location. I will only give out the location to established sex workers on this board. Please note this social is open to sex workers of any gender.

 

I really hope to meet new people :)

Hi Megan

If you and the group are ever interested, I have given a presentation on abuse: sexual, verbal, seniors, partners, bdsm to several organizations here in Ottawa, as well as Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal (including the association of chiefs of police who are starting to finally get serious about this problem). Let me know if there is any interest to have this presentation (about 20 minutes without questions) in the future.
