Recommended Posts

I dont know if its this is the right place for this but a client of mine has brought to my attention that someone using the name Aries has been using my pics (with a couple of her own or someone else-s LOL)

Should I email her or get my lawyer friend to do it or just take it as a complimernt...

I would lodge a complaint with Backpage, notify the CERB moderator so that he is aware of this as well. I've seen this happen a few times and I am sure some of the providers here who have experienced this will be in a better position to help you. Check out the SP only area.

I personally have had this happen years ago and it's not fun.

I would contact the girl herself and let her know she's busted, but that's just me.

Might make her think twice about doing it again...

I love how she writes that her photos are real....Ya, they are real enough just not pics of HER! ha.

Sorry this happened to you.

I wouldn't bother contacting the advertiser, there is a good chance she doesn't post her own ads, and whoever is posting is already OK with the stealing of photos, so it seems like a waste of time.

If you have a website, report the offending ad to backpage, go to their contact form, and fill in the necessary info. Include the link to your website, to your photos there as proof the photos are yours and/or include the link to your existing ads from your bp account and your cerb account to provide the necessary proof.

Chances are really good bp will simply delete the photos from her ad without a lot of investigation. They are very pro active about copyright protected photos, and avoid potential law suits, imo, so just reporting with evidence will get the results, and faster than trying to contact the photo thief, and with far less potential repercussions of contacting the photo thief.
