related rant: okay.. I just got a phone call.. we spoke for 2 1/2 minutes. I'm in the middle of unpacking in my new lovely home but of course I pick up the phone for business. He was polite and proper and we had a lovely chat until the last 20-30 seconds.

 

Him: What are you hours. Me: generally 10 am til 10 pm.

 

Him: I like your photos. Me: thanks!

 

Him: are you related to Amber Moon. Me: short explanation of how I know her re: porn, duos etc but no we're in no way related and a few good natured laughs thrown in. all fine so far.

 

Him: I don't see her advertisement anymore. Me: I haven't spoken to her in about 6 months but I know she's only been available very part-time due to a full-time day job.

Is her site still working?

 

Him: what is it? Me. I think it's ambermoonxxx.com

 

pause.. no sound on the other line. He is looking it up while he speaks to me. Seriously?

 

me: Are you actually looking to get ahold of Amber? I can certainly give you her details but if you're looking to book another escort and not actually me you can look up her information on your own time.. not mine. (now my tone has changed to a bitchy one)

 

Back to customer service industry. When I worked in customer service I got paid for my time regardless of what information I was giving the customer.. even if it was to refer them to someone who could help them when we didn't carry what product or have the service they wanted. Different thing.

 

I'm human and get irritated by such things. Stupid questions/time wasters come in all forms.

 

I am not ''reeling'' that client in. Had he been honest and just asked me and then said thank you for the information fine.. I'm happy to give it... but to let me listen on the other end of the phone while he surfs on his iphone??? rude!

 

I explained to him that even to do so while looking at my site would be a waste of my time. Go look it up on your own time and come back if you have more questions with another phone call.

 

Some guys have no common sense. I only go to a company's website while on the phone with techsupport if need be for a company..
