Midnite-Energies 110563 Report post Posted November 12, 2014 You can advertise but no one is legally permitted to carry those advertisements including (so I have read) websites. This is why many Canadian sites are changing. Many people are hosting their websites and advertising offshore so they can say what they want however the flip side is that with the increased risk to clients, they will be more suspicious of those saying they provide sexual ......... This law is vague and written in a way that can trip people up easily not to mention the ability of judges and LE to read what they want into it.

dunkinsailor 1220 Report post Posted November 14, 2014 on a more serious side, I'm going to ask any lawyers out there to see if this makes any sense: it's NOT illegal to make porn videos, or engage in the profession thereof. if a group of canadian providers produced a video called, for eg., "hands in extasy", where the video was a montage of hands only while people were engaged "in the act", providers could become acting coaches, with applicable coaching fees. Whether or not a client or ........ chose to have their hand in the montage would be entirely voluntary, as long as the intent was to seriously contribute in the creation of a real production for resale. I, for one, would like to see some collective brains put their minds together to beat these utterly stupid politicians at their own game. Better still, let's get some McKay masks made up, and make some MK porn spoofs. Piss them off, but there's no law against pissing off politicians. Just like there's no law about politicians pissing off citizens.

mod 135640 Report post Posted November 15, 2014 Ladies can not get charged for PLACING prostitution ads but third parties can so no one can allow ads for prostitution so the law effectively means your allowed to advertise but it is illegal for anyone who allows you to do it. If your link from cerb (Banner or signature or profile or anywhere on cerb) links to a personal website where you offer prostitution extras this would be illegal as well so UPDATE your sites!! if not your site will be banned from cerb. THE LAW PASSED - THIS IS YOUR ONLY CHANCE TO UPDATE!! it is in a 30 day grace period to give everyone time to conform to the new law. We are giving the ladies a few weeks to update websites but if they are NOT UPDATED shortly they will be placed on the BANNED SITES list and censored off the site. Members will be asked to let us know if any sites linking from cerb advertise prostitution extras those sites will actively be removed. Again... I did not make the new laws! People are getting mad at me cause of the censors and the new rules. Deal with it people! Next time a vote comes about don't vote conservative cause it's your majority conservative government who did this to you all!
xxxAxxx 21016 Report post Posted November 15, 2014 Will we (ladies) get a one-time warning if our site does contain anything non-cerb approved? dunkinsailor 1220 Report post Posted November 16, 2014 This is a SERIOUS post, and would be specially interested in any feedback Mod might want to give. I'm one step short of doing this. I'd like to make a video montage, tentatively called "Breasts in Orgasm". I'd need to compile a list of anyone in the sex industry that would like to be part, and their hourly acting rates. They would self-film using smartphones (or their sex partner could hold the phone at the applicable time). All I'd need is a few seconds for each segment. (Their partners wouldn't be videod at all). I would think the actresses SHOULD be able to lawfully, openly and graphically post their resumes, pics, etc. And that other sites could lawfully link to their resumes. We'd use the crowdfunding model - anyone contributing would be able to direct and participate in an applicable sequence with the actress of their choice. I'm not ready to launch this yet, but am VERY tempted to start. Be interested in feedback. On a lighter note, I once tried out on a porn video as a cast member, but they said I was too hard to work with.:)

I think mod is saying that if your site doesn't comply, it is your site name that will be banned (like all the blocked words). so all that will appear is .......... when you put in your site link? might be wrong, but that is what i think i read.

mod 135640 Report post Posted November 16, 2014 You wont be banned ... Just your website url. You are not an actress. Yes an actress website that would be fine, stop fishing for a gray area! If your website even hints that prostitution ........ are available please remove your website url from cerb. We can not advertise anyone or any website that is offering prostitution. No gray area! If you make a video that shows you let say naked or even scantily clad in bed or mouthing the words fuckme or doing cartoons of sex positions your website will not be allowed to like from cerb. I am not taking any chances. If i think it is even questionable i will block the url. Its too much for me to look at everyone and tell everyone one by one what is wrong or not. So use good judgement If you have to ask if it is ok.... The it is not ok! So please do not ask and do not be surprised if your site url gets blocked, Anyone not updating profile pages, classified ads or even comments on photos you may find you profile info deleted, classified ads removed or albums erased so take some time and help me out and make sure your area is nice and tidy and conforming to the new law. Thanks.

Im so confused. I think what is being said here is that you can have a site, as long as you don't advertise exchange of specific activities for money. You are allowed to advertise as an escort, which in essence is a simply a paid companion. Nothing more. Anything else that may or may not take place between 2 consenting adults should not be mentioned on your site if you wish to link it here. (At least that is my understanding) Your site should mention companionship only.
mod 135640 Report post Posted November 16, 2014 If you OFFER prostitution on your website you can NOT link from cerb to your site (It's really simple) if your website is just about dating, dancing massaging (without happy endings) or nonsex fetish then your welcome to link to it.
boomer01 5570 Report post Posted November 18, 2014 So you are saying that our PM's are actually not private and can be viewed by LE ? So LE have access to Cerbs email data bank. How can this be ? Does this also mean that email providers such as hotmail and gmail are not private either. I guess now only the telephone is safe unless it is being bugged. You'd think LE could use their time and resources for something more pressing.
boomer01 5570 Report post Posted November 18, 2014 I get that its against the law to discuss exchanging money for sex but how does LE get access to our PM's ?? Do they go to whoever is in charge and that person gives them access . No one can view another persons PM's unless they are given access to them . Maybe mod can clear this up. From my understanding, if there is suspected crime taken place, the LE can ask MOD to release any info that can be used as evidence. So bottom line, if you wish to speak on phone call, or BCD that is an option so that no written past info can be used. Just as, if on CL there was exploited person, CL has to release the IP or any other info

Again I add the caveat I'm no lawyer, but if internet users privacy is upheld, that would include things like emails, pm's, etc Pesky thing for police, the SCC and the Constitution RG

Guest Swee****rry Report post Posted November 18, 2014 For me I have already changed my website, but I also said I was an elite companion before. I tweaked things so the hobbyist can read between the lines and hopefully understand. You just need to be smart about it, as well as on BP. Some ladies have no clue that they are already breaking the law with what they are writing in their ads. And I do believe saying that you are an escort is against the law. Escorts are pinned as women who sell "sexual services" so I would stay away from any escort term. My old website had pop up pictures and escort written on it that I could not remove so I changed sites. If anyone wants to look at my site please do so for reference as I did the same from another SP that gave me some direction.
denpetty 1363 Report post Posted November 18, 2014 I agree with Lily there with using the word escort. There are lots of words without saying it out front that promotes "sexual services" so choose your words wisely and know what photos to use. I know a lot use nude photos and sexy lingerie photos which in my opinion is against the law now too under this bill now. I could be wrong there but that is my opinion. There is a lot to learn here and it isn't going to be easy for lots of us.
