mod 135640 Report post Posted November 13, 2014 IF YOU CAN NOT GET THIS MESSAGE TO GO AWAY AFTER READING PLEASE READ THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST. ****************************************** PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO CIRCUMVENT THE CENSORED WORDS! ****************************************** I am sure by now many of you have noticed a number of words have been added to the censor list. I know it makes the site very hard to read but instead of jumping ship and moving to another country like other adult boards are doing we have decided to instead conform to the new laws. This means 1) No one can ADVERTISE that they offer prostitution related EXTRAS if you offer this off the site that is find as long as you do not LINK to a site offering such things or offer them here. To conform to the new laws we can not to allow you to ADVERTISE such things here on cerb or advertise a website or blog or ad somewhere else that offers such things. If we find you are linking to a website from cerb that offers such things we will need to BAN your site from linking from cerb. Since people will ignore the law and try to post ads offering such things on cerb we had had to add certain keywords to the censor to ensure no one posts ILLEGAL things. Unfortunately this takes away from the discussion area. Now it is NOT illegal to discuss prostitution or related ACTS but I am not sure how the law will see it if someone is posting that they are a ESCORT (Not offering any PROSTITUTION related extras) and some guy posts saying "Oh, She did such and such with me!" (Guys like to brag when they get something extra that was not advertised....) 2) People may start to try to CIRCUMVENT these words. This will get you SUSPENDED or BANNED as you could put the website in jeopardy. Anyone seeing anyone trying to be creative (offering to do stuff like "squeeze the juice from a hot dog", "Suc the icing off a rooster" or "go in and out of grease for extended vacation" .... you get the point! Please REPORT THIS and DO NOT QUOTE IT! If you reply to it with a quote and do not report it you may also get a warning. 3) Some words are standard words such as O U T C A L L and S E R V I C E and these had to be censored as well as they could be taken the WRONG way and we are being EXTRA VIGILANT at this time to ensure cerb stays within the boundaries of this new law. 4) Use your .... people, don't brag about extra things that may or may not have happened when in private with someone. Just share that you have a nice time, you will see her again and focus on the nice things. More to come but I am asking for help with CENSOR words as well. Please report any ADVERTISEMENT posts that HINT or BLATANTLY SAY they offer PROSTITUTION RELATED EXTRAS so we can ADD to the CENSORS and protect the site. IF YOU CAN NOT MAKE THIS MESSAGE GO AWAY.... Your browser settings are probably not accepting cookies. Switch to another web browser or change your settings and see if it helps. A INCOGNITO browser will probably also cause this issue as well.
Studio 110 by Sophia 150333 Report post Posted November 13, 2014 I just read this, as I just posted my ad for massage & entertainment. Now in this ad, I said " Kneading and squeezing the stress you hold with in" Is this along the lines of a No-No? Do I need to edit this?
Jabba 18389 Report post Posted November 13, 2014 I'm totally confused not only by this thread but the Cerb censor policy. Is there a list of censored words somewhere (so we know which words not to circumvent)? Is there a link to a specific & comprehensive set of new censorship rules somewhere?
mod 135640 Report post Posted November 13, 2014 I just read this, as I just posted my ad for massage & entertainment. Now in this ad, I said " Kneading and squeezing the stress you hold with in" Is this along the lines of a No-No? Do I need to edit this? You did not say what you are KNEADING and SQUEEZING when you massage someone you do this to all sorts of body parts. If you are doing this to a penis however under the new law TOUCHING SOMEONE'S MEMBER in a way that the purpose of the touching is to be ...... (AROUSAL) it could be considered a ACT OF PROSTITUTION as they did not give DETAILS of what is and is not considered prostitution. On the flip side they licence body rub parlous under the current law and seam to allow rubbing of the male genitalia so who knows how they will interpret the new law. I'm totally confused not only by this thread but the Cerb censor policy. Is there a list of censored words somewhere (so we know which words not to circumvent)? Is there a link to a specific & comprehensive set of new censorship rules somewhere? We are working on it, use your PREVIEW to see as it will change the words to .... dots.

MightyPen 67414 Report post Posted November 13, 2014 Yeah, I accept this change in policy is necessary. But like Jabba I look forward to that word list so I can plan my post's content to avoid the "...."s that will make it unintelligible or just torpedo my point. Thanks for the hard work maintaining the site, mod, even in the face of new law.
roamingguy 300292 Report post Posted November 13, 2014 It'll take a bit of time for CERB to iron out the kinks because of Harper's/MacKay's brave new world. None of us like it but I guess it's better than this community shutting down I think a big thank you is due to the Mod for his hard work keeping this community going while dodging the minefield from this legislation Just remember all this bs when we go to the polls next federal election A rambling RG
Satai 1933 Report post Posted November 13, 2014 So instead of standing up for the rights of our community, CERB has bent over, spread it's cheeks, and eagerly accepted everything the government rams into us. It would have been a much simpler thing to move to an off-shore server to avoid all this, but your push for "conformity" reminds me of the oppressed throughout history. "Disappointment" does not adequately describe my feelings about this.

The site is already outside of Canada But it is owned and operated in Canada Simple, do you think Mod and other CERB/EC employees should leave Canada and operate CERB outside of Canada so you aren't disappointed assuming they can get a work visa The simplest thing they could do is shut it all down. But at least Mod and everyone, they are trying to find a solution and keep CERB going RG

Come sit in mods chair, then tell us you feel the same way. I'm disappointed with the lawmakers. I think mod deserves a big hug for everything he has done to work within the law.

cinelli 22184 Report post Posted November 13, 2014 Just wanted to add one thing. Guys who boast about getting extras that are not advertised should shut up. a) it may put the lady in a difficult situation if she wants to decline it b) poster may be making stuff up to feed his own ego Either way don't do it.

Jabba 18389 Report post Posted November 13, 2014 I think this site should have a fair tolerance for honest opinions. Right or wrong, I think Satai was expressing frustration plain & simple. It's easy to be harsh. It's not my sandbox, so I won't throw rocks - I think Mods are hopping to keep abreast. Where things are really going to matter for this site is when the ladies who pay good money to advertise here are left in the dark about what they can & cannot say in their ads. Same with the guys - do people have to take their conversations off-site & off-line? Is this site gonna die?
Guest *Ste***cque** Report post Posted November 13, 2014 Mod is just trying to work within the system. I wouldn't say they are "pushing for conformity", Satai. They are simply deciding to continue to spread their sex positive message from within the system... where most real, lasting change comes from. I agree with your sentiment against conformity but a quote I also like says "be neither a conformist or a rebel, for these are really the same thing. Find your own path, and stay on it." Boomer 33202 Report post Posted November 13, 2014 One area I am concerned about is the use of the censor list in the PM area. I've always thought of this to be comparable to the real mail which is totally private, accessible only to the sender and receiver, even the postal authorities and LE can not access it without warrant. Should the receiver be embarrassed by or harassed there maybe needs to be a mechanism have a personal do not accept function. I realize that practically and technically mod can see this traffic but would think that he exercises discretion.

bewlayb 7480 Report post Posted November 14, 2014 I look forward to that censor list being posted as I find the word muncher baffling. I just did a test (using preview as suggested) and discovered some pretty innocuous words being deleted. Particularly puzzling was discovering that the name of that notorious Bill is banned. How is this board to engage in a healthy discussion about the state of the industry if The Bill can't be explicitly mentioned? I understand the Mod's job is tough right now and I respect the effort being put into it, but I'm also a bit surprised at the degree of caution being exercised here.
SmartnSexy 2089 Report post Posted November 14, 2014 (edited) I feel pretty bad for the emails that the ladies are going to have to go through now. Where before they could list activities and whatnot on their sites or in their ads, now those conversations can only happen in private and so there can't be any more "Please review my website, ad, etc before asking me the same questions everyone asks". Ladies, I'd suggest putting together your answer templates together now, lol ;). Edited November 14, 2014 by SmartnSexy the word muncher really is severe, lol

Old Dog 179138 Report post Posted November 14, 2014 The silent one has returned. Folks, let's make this simple. There is absolutely NO point in making a censored words list that is available to the general audience. Besides, if you use the "preview post" function, you will know what you can't say. (Thus the substitution of the words "business operator.") We are all adults. We all know what double entendre is about. Unfortunately, so does the powers that be. You don't discuss any SPECIFIC activity in regard to actions between a client and a business operator. A recommendation? "I had a lovely evening with Madame X. She looked fantastic and we enjoyed our time together immensely. I look forward to future meetings." Pretty frickin' simple. The general discussion area will be a minefield for the time being BUT it will get better. Again, avoid using specifics in regard to the business. There is all sorts of sexy talk that can be had - it's conducted on all sorts of venues, not just escort sites. PMs? Use your brains people. That is the kind of stuff that CAN BE subpoenaed for disclosure. Communication for the purposes of prostitution is what everyone needs to avoid. PMs are to arrange meetings. NO DISCUSSION OF ACTIVITY. Websites. Everyone is guilty of being lazy and asking questions that probably are answered on a business operator's site. Go to the site. READ THE FAQs. Don't ask questions that could get either or both of you in trouble. Text Messaging. See the rules for PMs. Same thing. Bottom line... if you don't like the rules, you don't have to stay. CERB is a community that has to operate above board. If you don't like the rules, pack your bags and find a site that suits your sense of danger. Now... back to being an enigma.....
