Guest W***ledi*Time Report post Posted May 15, 2010 http://www.theprovince.com/entertainment/Playboy+magazine+next+centrefold+will/3013246/story.html Playboy magazine has jumped aboard the 3-D bandwagon with plans to add a new dimension to its centrefold. The June issue, on newsstands Friday, will come complete with a pair of 3-D glasses, the better to check out Playmate of the Year Hope Dworaczyk. "What would people most like to see in 3-D?" muses Playboy founder Hugh Hefner in an Associated Press story Tuesday. "Probably a naked lady." Hefner admits he's not big on the 3-D movie craze popularized by huge hits like James Cameron's Avatar. But the nudie mag is hoping to garner some much-needed attention as its circulation continues to sag. Playboy has dropped from 3.5 million copies in 2006 to 1.5 million, according to AP. Hefner says he first thought of trying a 3-D photo spread in the 1950s, but scotched the idea over the expense of including glasses. This time, HBO came on board as a sponsor and is helping pay for glasses with the title of the sexy vampire show True Blood on them. Playmate Dworaczyk jokes that the 3-D effect is, well, flattering. "It's kind of like it says on the rearview mirror," Dworaczyk tells AP. "Things may appear larger."
Guest C**Tra****er Report post Posted May 15, 2010 "Object in mirror may be larger than they appear" Kind of has that jump off the page effect - kind of like those pop-up books we had as children.
