calling someone names in a nice way??

Recommended Posts

I often call Angela dingleberry, dinkledorf instead of something worse.. for instance when she trips... do you have any interesting names to call someone that's not as mean as a normal name?

Here's her recent recipe for dingleberry pie. I laughed..

Recipe for dingleberry pie:

After a long trip to the woods in search of dingleberries, I've come up with...

1 cup of "I dunno"

2 cup of "I forgot"

1 cup of "I bumped into something"

1/2 cup of "I dropped something"

1/4 cup of "it went down the wrong hole"

1/4 cup of "I put my foot in my mouth"

I seem to remember a conversation about calling someone a "damn rotten dirt-squirrel" and planning to incorporate that into my vocab...sadly I havent got the opportunity yet, lol

I think it all depends on who and what is doing the talking.

For instance, both myself, friends and family all have nicknames for each other. Some people would find them outrageous, perhaps even insulting, it's all about the relationship we have with each other.

I guess the closer we are, the more crazy the names get:lol: I sure as heck wouldn't call someone the names if I didn't know them well enough, and how they could react, that would be just crazy!

Reminds me of Dr. Cox on Scrubs.. hilarious show. He always called JD a girls name.. I think Nancy was one of his favs. Of course one of his other common nicknames for the interns was newbie.

Now that is a creative one that I wish I had coined myself. You can't just use it casually though, names like that must be put on the shelf for a period of time and used in the perfect opportunity. It's like a fine wine.

I am maintaining "torpid filthy marmoset" in much the same manner....

Our old English teacher would get mad and yell at us 'you blocks, you stones, you worse than senseless things'. Yep he took his Shakespeare very seriously.

Close, if we got to arguing with one another he would yell at us 'a pox on both your houses'

...while biting his thumb at you?...er "at thee" rather ;-)

Carrie, I giggle when you answer the phone when I call and you say "hey-ho!" hehe

(and yes, I know- I know- I wont tolerate Hot 89.9 using the word...but from worker to worker I believe its justified ;-) )

Yup.. I would probably call myself Heidi now if I had to pick a new escort handle so I could say heidi-ho!

I have a pint-sized friend I affectionately call Shawty.

One of my friends calls me Slutmobile (all in good fun, of course).

And I call my sister by Belly...a childhood nickname I can't get out of, though I've learned not to do it in public.
