Honey Man 12759 Report post Posted December 9, 2014 I love Christmas. I believe in the spirit of Christmas. To me its a time for giving. Its a time to show your care for more then just yourself. All year round I do my best to help where I see need but at this time of year my efforts are doubled. On the one hand its the most happy of times and on the other hand its for me one of the saddest times. I think I do so much for others just to hide the sadness. My sons never call me. They do not realize how much a simple call would mean to me. I have my daughter with me but this year she will be at her moms which is good because she is trying to reconnect with her mom but that leaves me alone at Christmas yet again. So she and I will have Christmas on the 26th. I will spoil her as always. We put up a small tree and my nativity set and have the best Christmas we can. So merry Christmas to each and every one of you. If you want to live forever make a memory in someone elses life. Help someone. Make them smile. Show them this world is a beautiful place with caring people.
Guest **cely***r***ne Report post Posted December 9, 2014 Thank you! Merry Christmas to you! Given the spirit of the season I am reminded not everyone is able to have a Christmas dinner. Nor are their cubbords full on any other day. I encourage you to please donate to your local foodbanks and other charity organizations for the needy families out there. Today I donated food, winter clothing, toys, and money to my local centers. As well as to the new truro homeless center. I also bought coffee for the person next in line at my fave timmies. Feels good to give!
Ice4fun 78407 Report post Posted December 9, 2014 As joyful and amazing as Christmas is it is also a very difficult time for many people for lots of different reasons. For some the joy of season is lost in grief, stress, illness and loneliness... if you know someone who is struggling Christmas is often the easiest time of the year to reach out and provide them some comfort... VoluptousValentinaxo 394 Report post Posted December 10, 2014 I loooooove Christmas I love the season. I'm guilty of having my tree up since like November lol, but there's just something about coming home and I open my door and my tree is there and the lights are nice and bright. It's actually so cozy and comforting to me. I might even leave it up through the snowy season because hey! outside is depressing. Giving is important but let's all remember that whether in company or alone.. Lets be responsible and NOT Drink and Drive please...
