Carrie Moon 68826 Report post Posted June 4, 2010 I'm not a gentleman but I'm an appreciator of women and I'm so glad to hear the men don't like long fake nails.. cause neither do I! I do however agree that toenail polish in a nice color is a must.. have no idea why but I feel naked without my toenail polish. I don't however like the french manicure on feet.. on hands definitely but I like a strong color on the toes.. my favs are dark pinks and red tones. anyone remember the joke how do elephants hide in cherry trees? they paint their toenails red :p
masterowls 249 Report post Posted June 4, 2010 Dear Meg, I personally would prefer that all polish were on outlawed. For one thing, you can still smell the stuff an hour after it's applied, and we all know it doesn't smell good. As to the length of the nail, as long as its long enough to provide a good back scratch, without doing bodily harm, it's all good. :-)
dirkgently 1778 Report post Posted June 4, 2010 I'm all for the natural look no matter what body part it refers to.
Jabba 18389 Report post Posted June 4, 2010 I'm in agreement with the majority of the fella's response here. Short, neatly trimmed & no colour. I do have a difference of opinion however with Omehgosh, if I understand his statement correctly: " Although I have nothing wrong with women wearing make-up, hair-spraying their hair, doing their nails etc., (I understand why you do it) - I personally, don't get why we make you do it. I know it's the norm, but it's a strange thing to me.? I've asked several ladies (ex girlfriends, siblings, SO, etc) what the purpose was for all the makeup, fussing, grooming, detailing - my basic thesis was that it was to attract the guys. The response I got to that was a resounding "Nope!" Hmmm, ok, ummm - it's to attract other women? (boolean logic here). "NO!" again. The answer that I got (or that I understood) was that the ladies do it for themselves. They feel "naked" if they go without the xtra stuff....have I got that right ladies?...please don't crucify if I've made a boo boo or over simplified. I'm just a guy, right?:-D
Guest f***2f*** Report post Posted June 4, 2010 Yes I have gotten that response too...they do it to feel pretty themselves...it's a grooming thing. I once had an SP apologize to me that she didn't have make up on because I had an early 8am appointment with her and she overslept. she is an extremely attractive young lady and personally I thought she looked even better without the eyeliner, mascara, shadow blush yada yada and she was dressed in jeans and a tee. I said "Love you look amazing believe me!" She said she felt she had let me down......Well junior was not let down and she was soon over her embarrassment!!
Carrie Moon 68826 Report post Posted June 4, 2010 Feeling the need to wear makeup is mostly due to advertising in my opinion.. check out any woman's magazine and you will find tons of adds for makeup.. almost every other page. I almost never wear it nowadays that I know how toxic it is.. but I do put on lipstick now and again.. I love how I look with it I admit.. During allergy season there's no way I can wear eyeliner or mascara anyway.. soo.. I go without.
