Guest A**aTo**h Report post Posted January 29, 2015 Just wondering what others do when they are bored beyond belief. For me it depends on the mood, sometimes boredom means lazy, other times it means a non-stop search for something, anything. I spent the night at the gym after work and am feeling relaxed but also awake from the cardio rush. So tonight I am just sitting around hoping someone shows up on chat, but so far no one. So now I am reading every post here from the last few days and responding to some of them and pondering others. Then, I thought, my nails need trimming and buffing. Done. Bored again. Back to reading posts. Might clean the house. Just wondering what others do when bored. Feel free to post boring things to this boring thread ;) ...I'm bored now, back to some other boring thing now...

Honey Man 12759 Report post Posted January 29, 2015 I play freecell. Years back I worked with a lady that told me every game was winnable. She taught me how to play. She started at game one and would win that and on to game two. Every day she would get closer and closer to the end. She did in 2008 and never got to the end. To this day I play 20 or so games of it each day and omg I sure think of my friend. She was a very special lady. Every day we would email back and forth many many times. At her funeral I net her other friend who was a lady and turns out she also emailed our mutual friend every day all the time. Sharing bits and pieces of each others lives and helping support each other. Well we got to talking and sure enough started to carry on the email exchange but this time between each other. I have been through 3 child births and two divorces with her and she has been through the birth of 2 children and 3 marriages with me. We see each other maybe once every 2-3 years but exchange emails daily

Let my arms dangle or maybe swing a little 4. Moan out loud "I'm sooo bored!"

Helena D'Orville 33237 Report post Posted January 29, 2015 Last year I had a surgery that put me in bed - and in horrible pain - for a month and a half. When I say "in bed" I really mean that I was stuck in my bed for good. I had to get out of it for the essential things of life but let's not go there... Anyway, knowing before the surgery that I would be stuck in bed for so long, I had given key doubles to friends, and bought a tray, the kind that has legs so that you can put it on a bed and stays stable. I watched TONS of Netflix series and movies in my bed - even some that I did not like! - to the point that after a while I did not know what else to watch! I am rarely bored in life but at this time I was shouting out loud ''I am so booooored!!!" that my neighbours must have thought that I was crazy. The only joy was when my friends visited me, bringing me food (yep, could not even cook!) and talking about anything - even absolutely irrelevant stuff! - that I could listen to as if I were swallowing sweets and delicacies... It was as if I had a connection with the world again. Imagine! So, nope, I am rarely bored, but this moment was damn booooring like hell!

vader75 999 Report post Posted February 13, 2015 I had to dig back in the files to find this thread again. I have been home now for weeks and am bored out of my mind. I feel bad for the ladies I talk to on a daily basis. And I would like to take a second to thank them from the bottom of my heart for putting up with all my bs. I hate my work so I'm not looking forward to going back in a week or two but I need some kind of excitement or entertainmen before I start microwaving stuff to keep me busy. I sat and talked to my dog the other day and I swear he looked at me like "shut the f up". I play a game online but cant sit and do that all day. Another thing I did a few days ago because I was so bored, while I had m dog out I turned my BBQ in the snow into a huge snowman giving the finger so when the mail man shows up it will be priceless. Another thing I am guilty of in my boredome is answering the telemarketers phone calls. I talked to some poor sap for 25 min about cleaning the vents in my home. #1 I dond have any vents #2 its not my place I rent it....he was a little pissed and I dont think they will call again. Lol Another fun thing I have been doing is hiding thing and scaring my kids at randome times. Today I was watching pranks on the internet....what will the next few days bring....hmmmmm...

Katherine of Halifax 113932 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 I am generally never bored. My life is quite hectic and there is not a lot of down time . However we all must relax and unwind. If and when I have the time I love to have a visit with my most cherished lady friends, coffee, supper, drinks dancing and all the good stuff. Ladies never tell. ;) My other very new relaxing activity is reading fiction, something I have not done is many years. In the past my only reading was educational topics on healing and metaphysics. Its a whole new world there now. I think its really important to alleviate boredom or stress and find creative ways to do so.
