Ice4fun 78407 Report post Posted February 21, 2015 Not that this is in any way a good thing but Hopefully this is further proof to the Ontario Attorney General of the dangers of this law. Just my Opinion Sent from my Passport using Tapatalk
PatrickGC 10792 Report post Posted February 22, 2015 Well, Bill C-36 sure isn't helping because it further distances all parties concerned from access to and protection of legal rights. People can no longer speak out plainly because of the bureaucratic rats nest that has been created. Look at how the dialogue on this board has changed dramatically since December 2014. The very fact that our council has had to blackout text in older postings in order to protect users is a criminal shame. The one thing the general public forgets about is that the true criminal doesn't abide by the rules. They don't care whether something is legal or not. As a matter of fact, they probably prefer the current situation, because an SP now has less legal recourse. In the meantime the media is pushing the same old propaganda. This makes me so mad I could just scream! However I am glad that at least the Toronto police have published this bulletin and then here in Vancouver city Council has publicly criticized the effects of Bill C-36 and it looks like other cities are questioning the validity of the bill as well. Meaghan McLeod 179664 Report post Posted February 22, 2015 Jenny, assault is a crime and the police will investigate. Whether you are an escort or not. It is not illegal to be an escort only illegal to purchase sexual services. Don't ever feel you cannot go to the police if you've been a victim of crime.
