vazimollo 1336 Report post Posted April 7, 2015 (edited) Tomorrow 7 April 2015, will mark 3 months since the tragic events that unfolded in Paris, France early this year. La crème de la crème of French cartoonists were cowardly executed, along with 2 police officers who heroically tried to stop the killings. Because they believed, freedom of expression and fundamental liberties were our most precious collective asset, they paid the heaviest of tributes for using the most seditious weapon against fanaticism: humor and irony. LYLA would not not be possible if fanatics and fundamentalists were the dominant force in this world. Whatever our ethnic or racial background, our religious beliefs, or political opinions, liberty should never be regarded as granted. For all thse reasons, I am still Charlie.
