Boomer 33202 Report post Posted April 12, 2015 From my point of view, no, nothing has really changed and I am no more concerned than I was before bill C-36 was proclaimed. If you practiced safe hobbying before, I think you are fine.
Ice4fun 78407 Report post Posted April 12, 2015 Anyone else paranoid about these new laws and what not that are surrounding this biz? I can't bring myself to do anything because of them now.....am i alone on this? Anyone heard of any charges being laid yet? Certainly the new laws have added to the risks associated with this hobby but I think it is important that these increased risks be kept in perspective... Prior to the new laws there were risks legal and otherwise that we had to negotiate we were able to do that before and we certainly can now. Do your research... meet with established well know ladies and ensure you keep your communication clear of comments that might cross legal bounds... This law will not be the end... PatrickGC 10792 Report post Posted April 13, 2015 Hello HavingaLook: Welcome aboard to Lyla! As Ice4fun said, do your research and stay with well-established people. You may be interested the "FIRST Advocates" mailing list. It distributes articles and research about this industry from across the world. Subscribers run the gamut from researchers to activists. Please note this is a serious mailing list which is moderated and a first step is being approved to get on the list itself. Chances are very good at anything to do with the new law will appear here first. CristyCurves 169032 Report post Posted April 13, 2015 Don't let it get you down nor should you let someone else's stupidity(referring to c36) decide how you live and play. Lyla is a great resource for information and for selecting responsible and safe companions. There are many intelligent and well informed ladies and gentlemen here that often post as to what's new, changing and how to proceed since the new laws have come into effect. Peruse the site in full:) But as I posted in another thread, part of Harper and his squads scheme and hope is that they'll scare many respectful and unnoticeable consenting adults out of this industry, don't fall for it and let that happen to you. You'll be fine as long as you stick with legal aged non-drug using professional companions. As the two things I mentioned are illegal and will more likely attract law enforcement/complaints. We are all here, or we should be here , to protect, indulge, educate and help one another through this. Keep smiling it's still safe, fun, and your RIGHT to enjoy consensual adult companionship:)
Miss S. Lane 67128 Report post Posted April 13, 2015 I can tell you that if you are seeing known and established independent providers, then you are fine. Law enforcement is not interested in escorts or their clients. Their focus is where it always was... The street. This isn't great for those who work on the street, but truthfully they are likely used to it. Just be smart about who you see, relax, and enjoy :)
Meaghan McLeod 179664 Report post Posted April 13, 2015 They are also going after those being exploited or underage. An Asian agency was recently busted. Independent and recommended ladies are the way to go. Mostly remember no menus please. Time and companionship now. Gone are the days of asking what does she provide.
