Chanel Reign 28097 Report post Posted August 19, 2010 I have cancelled due to illness or family issues, but far in advance. This is the "busness end" of things and should be respected by all. I have also been fortunate enough to have had few no shows and never book back to back. Ewwwww
Dorinda Bloom 44036 Report post Posted August 19, 2010 In my experience sometimes just plain bad luck gets in the way. Three times in a row I was forced to leave town and cancel all my appointments!!! Once I was ill, another time I had something bad happen to me personally and the third was a hotel error - leaving me upset and embarrassed - and without a room! :-x Certainly I may have alienated some gents and am still mortified but what can I do about it? Carry on and be understanding and tolerant when unfortunate incidents happen to my potential suitors is all I can do.
alexgrenyait 2186 Report post Posted August 19, 2010 sometimes it is difficult to cancel far in advance as sometimes emergencies pop up...and unfortunately we dont know ahead of time if we are going to be sick:(

The anticipation is always worth the wait, may it be a week or month later.I'm a firm believer that "good things happen to those that wait" :) Additional Comments: sometimes it is difficult to cancel far in advance as sometimes emergencies pop up...and unfortunately we dont know ahead of time if we are going to be sick:( Again that itself is very understandable and more than reasonable. :) Any reasonable explanation is truly accepted in my books ;)

Ok lets put this into prospective with a trend toward any generic business: Business is slow at some times of the year but not in others. Customer service and satisfaction should be of the utmost importance. Staff get ill, have lives and family emergencies. Customers get ill, have lives and family emergencies. Some companies have better reputations than others. As a consumer you can always vote with your feet, and should do so if the business is not to your satisfaction. Any company still reserves the right to refuse service in this country. No customer should be harranged by staff. No staff should be harranged by customers. Some companies are final sale. How is this any different than this business?
PistolPete 61421 Report post Posted August 19, 2010 I just like to add that because of a personal crisis I had to cancel this week with an SP. I gave her 4 days notice, and she was very understanding, and very thoughtful towards me,that itself makes me feel good about her,and makes me want her more the next time. ;) We all have some personal issues,we all have families so we all must just be very cooperative and understanding with each other, it makes the world go round :)

I had a longtime pre booked evening planned with a gent tomorrow. He had to cancel and not only emailed me, he called as well, on Monday. This happens with this person periodically, but because I know what he does for a living, I know it is legitimate and that I will see him again soonest. :)
Origin 268 Report post Posted August 27, 2010 Yes. SPs are human also. lol. They have emergencies and/or need to cancel for whatever the reason. Cancellation becomes more of an issue if their job is incongito, just as the client. I don't mind if the SP cancels even just before the appointment as I understand. yes it is a let down since hormones are at their all-time highest, but that's life. However, I cancel as soon as I know I can make it. I lastest I had cancelled was at least 24hours in advance.
