What would make you quit hobbying?

1) I would quit hobbying if I entered into a long term relationship with someone.

 

2) I would scale back on my hobbying if my financial situation were to change. e.g. ( Paying the mortgage, saving and investing take precedence over discretionary spending).

Interesting thread. Retirement from the hobby sounds 'permanent'. If that's the case, I have no plans on retiring. Enjoying the company of women is a pleasure. If I ever lose interest in carnal pleasures, then I may have more serious issues than retiring from this hobby ;-)

 

There are a few favourites of mine who continue to provide their company. I might reconsider' when/if some favourites decide to leave the business. I tend not to "play the field", but prefer to establish and maintain longer-term connections with a handful of women in the business.

 

Been on CERB for a while and although I don't post often, I do enjoy the threads and discussions. Perhaps I will come out of my shell and contribute more often.

Great question Meg. I?ve asked myself this question before and thought I had the answer. As time passed I realized that I was wrong. I have had some encounters that have made me reconsider this hobby but being the persistent and curious man I find myself drawn back to the field. Maybe I?ll continue to hobby past my prime but probably age, financial ruin, or an illness would cause me to hang-up the spurs.

It is ironic, because I do think of it from time to time... but from a different angle. I am monogamous by nature, to the end that even in my relationship with SPs, I do not stray until the natural course of a relationship runsto its terminus.

 

I have been out of a committed relationship for a couple of years now and I do date. I now approach dating with the hobby in mind, thinking, "would I be willing to give up the hobby for you??"

 

In the last few years, the answer has been a definitive, "No."

 

Bottom line?? When she, who shall rock my world, has been found the hobby will slip by the wayside.
